A/N: I'm not religious but this is just a joke between my friend and I...
Alex, Jesus loves you.QUESTION FOR TODAY: Maths or English?
"Why are you so bothered, anyway?"
Alex and I, having realised that Damien and Jake's meeting was far from finished, had retreated into the kitchen. I was in the process of making pancakes, but my mind was elsewhere. My thoughts never strayed far from Alexis and her mysterious disappearance.
"What, about Alexis?" I asked, frowning.
"Yeah. I mean, I know she's your friend, but she is a werewolf. She can handle herself."
I smirked knowingly. "Oh, I'm sure she can. I'm just worried, that's all."
"Well don't be! I'm sure she's fine."
I hummed pensively and turned back to my pancakes. The sight made me want to cry. Whilst I had been distracted, they had blackened considerably. I groaned in annoyance and shoved the pan's contents in the trash. The bouquet of flowers which sat proudly on the table seemed to react to my frustration. The petals, which were of a roseate hue, withered until they drooped low. As I exhaled, the flowers abruptly collapsed into fine sand. I gasped in abject shock and covered my mouth with my hand.
"I-I-" I looked towards Alex, desperately fumbling for an explanation.
"It's okay, T." He said gently, pushing the vase aside. "Alpha Black briefed us all. We know all about your powers."
"Everyone?" I asked, eyes wide.
"Yeah. He thought that telling us would help your transition-"
His words died when he saw my tormented expression. I was devastated. I knew that at some point, everyone would have to be notified, but I wanted to feel normal for just a little longer. The fact I now had to admit to myself that I was different was surreal. For so long, I had been mundane. Ordinary. This supernatural whirlwind had knocked me off my feet, and made me question everything I knew.
"Okay," I breathed, righting myself. "That's fine."
It wasn't. I could feel the fire spreading through my form, consuming everything in it's wake. It wasn't anger- I think it would've been easier to handle if it was. It was pure, untouched power. Power that constantly sought to escape my control.
Power that I didn't know how to control.

Damien's POV (#yourewelcome)
"Why are you so against me seeing her?"I froze, coiled to attack. A primal possessiveness coursed through my veins and I fought to control my wolf, who was growling in challenge.
Murder him. She is ours.
I rolled my eyes, imagining what Thea would say if she was to hear that. She'd go crazy, shouting obscenities and insults. The thought calmed me slightly. Even when she was calling me names, she was disastrously beautiful.
Tom cleared his throat expectantly, tearing me from my reverie. I shook my head, slowly wheeled around and glared stonily at Jake. My former friend.
Perhaps my former Beta.
"Did you really just ask me that?" I growled, folding my arms across my chest.
Even the sight of him enraged my wolf. A ghost of a smirk curled at his lips and I curled my hand into a fist.
"Since you seem incapable of speaking, I'll speak for you." I pinned him against the wall, lost in a haze of anger. "If you even look at her in the wrong way, I'll kill you. I don't give a fuck if your mate died. I don't want you anywhere Thea. She's mine."
Fear danced in Jake's eyes, though he tried to conceal it. "Understood, Alpha. Am I still your Beta?"
I shoved him against the wall for emphasis and raised a speculative eyebrow. Tom was watching our confrontation with an amused grin.
"It depends how you behave, pup. If you disobey me, your title will fall directly into Alex's hands." I replied.
Without uttering another word, I stole the Vodka from Tom's grip and retreated upstairs.
____________________________________________________________Thea was still downstairs, happily chatting to Alex. I doubted she had noticed that I had
left the room- after all, she was only human. Much too fragile to be in my hands.
I took a swig of the vodka and sprawled across the bed, sighing deeply. Thea's intoxicating was everywhere; it clung to the walls, to the bed; to everything. It soothed me more than any amount of alcohol could. It was only when I stood up, shaking off my dizziness, that I noticed the black paint that lingered on the walls. In confusion I squinted my eyes, trying to make out the message. Someone had obviously scrubbed the wall, but the words were still visible under the dying sunlight.
'Sticks and stones may break your bones
But fire will never scathe you.'My blood froze. Bile rose in my throat and I leaned against the bedpost, trying to steady myself. The note was obviously intended for Thea, and no one else was allowed in this room. She had obviously scrubbed the walls- for whatever reason, I was uncertain. My mate was keeping something from me.
I made the consecutive decision to search the room, despite the fact I was hopelessly drunk. The fact someone was threatening Thea was sobering enough.
After a few minutes of searching the room in its entirety, I spotted a small box, discreetly shoved behind the vanity. I frowned and picked it up, fumbling for a lock of some description.
It needed a key.
"Shit, shit, and more shit." I cursed, searching my mind for a solution.
When your brain can't help, use your biceps instead.
I yanked the lid off of the box and regarded its contents, gaping. Numerous letters, which spoke of violence and blackmail, were shoved haphazardly in the small space. My temper flared and I stifled a furious growl. Why had she kept this from me?
I thundered down the stairs with the box in hand. The casual chatter immediately quietened as I stormed into the kitchen, desperately fighting my wolf. He sought to escape my hold and claim vengeance."Who the fuck has been leaving these?" I boomed.
Thea's eyes were glued to the box. She trembled slightly and met my gaze, her expression one of sadness. Tears pooled in her eyes and I wanted nothing more than to wipe them away. But, in my anger, my mind was cast elsewhere.
"I don't know, Damien. That's the problem. I didn't want you to find out-"
"Why?" I yelled. "Why not?"
"Because I didn't want to add to your stress," she mumbled, fighting tears. "I knew it'd upset you."
Alex had been unbearably quiet throughout our argument. He was sat with his hands clasped on his tables, and when I met his gaze, he immediately looked elsewhere.
"You've been awfully quiet, Alex." I remarked, narrowing my eyes. "Anything you want to tell me?"
He blanched under my heated gaze. "I-I-"
"Alex," Thea said. "Do you know something?"
She looked as if she wanted to vomit. Her entire form was shaking as Alex looked at the ground, as if considering his options. My hands balled into fists.
"Well, I have my suspicions." He murmured.
I was about to lose my temper once again. "Please, Gamma. Enlighten us."
"Well, I'm only speculating here, but since she's disappeared..."
He paused for a second, as if doubting his own words.
"I think it's Alexis."
