Chapter 38: Missing

???'s P.O.V
I was looking for Tino for almost an hour now. Li Xiao was missing, too. I ran to the woods and saw a sword.
"N-No.." I muttered. It's Li Xiao's sword. I ran and almost bumped into Kiku.
"You look tired, Berwald-san. Why are you sweating?" he asked me. I adjusted my glasses. I huffed and puffed.
"Tino..and..Li Xiao..are..missing." The Japanese man widens his eyes in shock.
"But...but how?"
"I have no clue. I only found Li Xiao's sword in the forest." He was quiet for a moment and takes his sword. He examined it and saw something.
"I need to tell this to Kuro-nīsan and to imōto." he declared.
"Tell it to Lukas and Emil, too. Maybe they can help us." I suggested. Kiku nods and gives back the sword to me.
"Ok. Once we're all together, we'll solve this all out." He then leaves. I took a look at his sword and saw what I was thinking.
"I-Is this blood?!" I said to myself. They could be in danger.
Kiku's P.O.V
"Kuro-nīsan! Kuro-nīsan!" I shouted. He looks up at me with a small smile.
"Nani?" he said, gently.
"Berwald-san said that Tino-san and Li-san are missing!" I said. He woke up Maria.
"Maria. Maria."
"H-Hai..?"
"Tino and Li Xiao are missing."
Maria sits down at the tree and stood up with Kuro-nīsan.
"Let's go see Lukas-kun and Emil-kun. We must meet with Berwald-san too." I said. Both of them nodded.
"Hai."
When we're all together, all of us are dead serious.
"Maybe they snuck out of this building  and went to the manor I told you about. " Kuro theorized. Lukas nodded. "That could be a possibility. And plus, Berwald said that there was blood on it."
"Kuso!" Maria complained. "Why didn't they follow Kuro-nīsan's orders?! If they were killed by the monster, then we're dead!"
My heart stopped at that moment. Why didn't I think that they were killed by the monster? I closed my eyes for a second, thinking what should we do.
"Guys. Remember that Kuro-nīsan said that there's a cliff near the manor? Maybe when they were fighting the monster, the monster threw them into the ocean, leaving Li-san's sword behind." I said. Everyone agreed.
"We need to check if there's footprints if them so we can find the monster." Emil-kun said.
"But how can we see? It's dark out here." Lukas asked. The three of us smirked.
"Me and Kuro-nīsan's eyes glow. Didn't you notice earlier?" Maria-chan said. Oh, that's right. I encouraged everyone with a smile.
"Ikūzo, minna."
