Chapter 11 ~ Explanations

~September 29, 2013~

~Niall's POV~

"Okay, as you may know by now, I'm not human." Zayn starts and points at his black wings which are folded behind his back.

"Well, yeah, I guessed that." I say. "But what are you exactly? An angel?"

Zayn chuckles. "No, I'm not an angel. On the contrary." He looks to the trees in front of him with an amused smile on his face.

"I think the best way to explain this is with a bit of history.

In the beginning, you had God. He ruled over heaven and earth with his right hand, Lucifer. They were best friends, until one day Lucifer betrayed God and the rest of the angels. As punishment, God threw Lucifer out of heaven and he became a fallen angel. More than that. He created a place called Hell. Lucifer is the one you know as the devil. He rules over a world of death and fear."

Zayn looks over at me to see if I understand it.

"Yeah, I thought so." I say. The name Lucifer sounded familiar in my ears. I think I've heard it before somewhere.

"Okay, so Lucifer ruled over Hell since that time. A few angels which were on his side decided to join him in hell. They are now called demons or fallen angels. They did everything to be like by Lucifer.

No one thought that a cruel monster as Lucifer could have a heart. He tortured souls of innocent humans. His followers created hate and death on earth, but one day, Lucifer did the impossible. He fell in love. He fell in love with an angel.

He did everything to win her heart and in the end, it worked. She fell in love too.

They decided to start a secret relationship, both knowing that if anyone found out, they would be in much trouble."

I actually think that is kinda cute. If a man does that for you, he must really love you.

"For three years they managed to keep their relationship hidden. Their life was perfect. They even had a child.

But of course, something had to go wrong.

One day, an army of angels attacked the two and took Lucifer's love away. God convicted her to die and three days later she got executed."

I gasp in chock. Would someone as God really do that? That is just cruel.

"Lucifer was beyond angry. He sent an army of demon's or fallen angels to heaven, and a war broke out.

For more than a Thousand years it went on before God decided to announce a truce. Lucifer agreed, but the amount of death on earth was still not going down.

This is still going on. You see the horrible diseases people have. You see how much murder there is going on. Even the war is still on a truce, but I know that it can start again every minute."

Zayn sighs loudly when he finishes the story. I'm pretty shocked by all of this. I thought God was a good person.

"That sounds like a horrible thing to go through. Poor Lucifer. What happened with the child?" I ask.

Zayn starts telling again. "Lucifer managed to hide the child. It survived the war and his mother's execution. When God found out about him, he didn't do anything. He believed that the child wouldn't do any harm. God decided that Lucifer could keep him. He named him Damion."

I nod understanding. "What does this have to do with you?" I ask then. "I mean, you told me all of this, but I don't see your point in this."

Zayn looks at me. "I was in the story." He states and I frown. Really? "The kid, it's me. I'm Lucifer's son."
