Chapter 15 ~ For everything good...

~October 7, 2013~

~Niall's POV~

A week had passed ever since I found out Liam's secret and everything had gone perfectly.

Not that there were no monsters after me anymore.

No, we had dealt with a lot of them the past week.

We were all safe on Sunday.

After school on Monday, we had an attack of ten Melonheads. They are scary little monsters, with sharp teeth and a very big head, like a melon. They look like baby's body wise, but they really are cannibals.

Zayn has sent me to my room while he and Liam took care of the monsters. They had cleared the job in no time.

Tuesday, we had an attack of a Wendigo. To be honest, I screamed the loudest when I saw that. It looked absolutely horrible. It's a rotten human body with the head of a male deer.  With the Hellhound, you could only see a part of the bones, but with the Wendigo, it's completely different. His organs were hanging outside his body and you could see blood.

Luckily, Liam saved me from that. I had watched how he delivered a good fight. Zayn had been to a meeting with his dad, trying to convince him not to kill me at the same time Not that it had worked.

On Wednesday there was actually no monster. Maybe Lucifer had given us a day off, because the next day, we had to deal with a Fenrir, which is a fire-breathing black wolf. Yup, a fire-breathing wolf. At least it wasn't a dragon.

Again Zayn and Liam had saved me, which I'm very grateful for.

And then on Friday, yesterday, a Basilisk had shown up. Exactly like the one in Harry Potter. A giant snake-like creature with no eyes and very sharp teeth. With a bit of teamwork, Zayn and Liam had defeated him, without even a scratch.

These days I feel so useless. All I have to do is hide in my room or watch when Zayn and Liam defeat the monsters. They don't even have to put much effort in it. It's like they are doing this for ages... which is probably true now I think of it.

Louis and Harry don't know what is happening. I haven't told them and I'm not going to tell them. I don't want to put them in danger. What if the monsters start to attack them too? I won't risk their safety.

Zayn too had told me that it was best not to tell them. he knows how I hate it to keep things from my friends, but I have to.

And then you had Liam. The only thing Louis had asked me about is why Liam is Always glaring at Zayn. I had lied to him and said I didn't know and Louis being the friend he is, had said that I must watch out. Maybe Liam is jealous of mine and Zayn's relationship.

Louis is such an observant person.

My two friends are very cute together. I can see that they really love each other. If anything, they are made for each other. And, on the plus side, Louis' teasing has reduced to almost none since he and Harry are together. I still have to thank Harry for that.

When my mom had come home from her work, Zayn had stayed in his own home again. We had come out to her~, but she didn't want Zayn to sleep here yet. For obvious reasons.

~Flashback~

"Hi, mum," I say when I walk downstairs. It's late Monday evening and Zayn had just showered after his fight with the Melonheads.

"Hi, honey." My mom says and then looks surprised when Zayn walks down the stairs behind me. "And oh, Hi Zayn."

Luckily the smile on her face tells me she is happy to see him here. I think she likes him.
