Chapter 16 ~ ... happens something bad

~October 7, 2013~

~Niall's POV~

Yes, of course I am afraid of what will happen. I'm about to shit my pants. I'm together with Lucifer, the devil, in one room and all his focus is on me. He doesn't like me. I can see it in his eyes.

How much worse can it get? My boyfriend's dad doesn't like me. It's even so bad he wants to kill me. How sick is that?

"I'm sorry, but what am I doing here?" I ask confused and I hear the demons who are still holding me snicker.

"First of all, you don't speak to me like that." Lucifer growls and shifts in his seat. "Second of all, you know about the war going on between Heaven and Hell, right?"

I just nod my head, not want to make him angry with saying some words wrong.

"You know that war is on a rest now since many years, and that war is the reason you are here."

Now I'm confused.

"I'm sorry, sir." I say politely. "But I have no idea what I have to do with that war."

Lucifer huffs. "I know that. You are just a useless human being."

Oh, so friendly.

"It's just that I can't win this war without my most powerful weapon. That weapon being my son. I trained him and he has greater powers than me. Even bigger than God."

I can see Lucifer pull an angry face when he says God.

"And what do I have to do with this?" I ask again.

"Well, Damion doesn't want to help me with that. I am trying to convince him to join my army, but he's too stubborn to agree. I figured that, since he loves you so much, he would agree to help me when you are in danger."

Another evil smirk spreads on his face. I don't like it. I'm staring at Lucifer still.

"You are going to be my personal slave for as long as my dear son doesn't agree to help me. But don't worry, Niall. You will have the time of your life." The last part he adds sarcastically with a honey sweet voice.

Slave? Oh no.

"But you can't do that." I manage to say. All Lucifer does is chuckle.

"And why not?" He asks amused.

For a moment I don't know what to answer and after a while, I answer with a wonderful response.

"Because that's mean."

Lucifer is full on laughing now together with the demons.

"Silence!" Lucifer's voice suddenly booms through the room. Everyone stops laughing immediately and Cerberus lays down in his giant basket.

"Be honest with yourself, Niall. What did you expect from the devil?" He then asks.

He is right. I'm so stupid sometimes. I let my head hang down.

"Right." Lucifer then says and makes a gesture with his hand, making the demons release me. Finally, they have a very strong grip. I rub my arms where red spots in the form of a hand are starting to form.

"You will start today. Get ready in an hour when I call you. Don't be late. I won't hesitate to  torture you." The cold voice he uses to say that, makes me shiver.

"Bring him to his clothes and explain him everything." Lucifer then commands the demons next to me. They both nod and start to push me in the direction of another door.
