Lyved went to the back of the classroom and sighed in relief. She put her wallet back in her bag and put her feet up the desk. She popped in another bubblegum and looked around the classroom. Sure enough, no one was looking at her.
It hurt her, but it kind of relieved her too. She looked over to Callum, who was staring at her. She raised an eyebrow, making Callum look away. Lyved looked away and saw Dregan look at her. He looked at her with a meaningful gaze.
The bell rang. The mathematics teacher entered the room. Dregan looked at the teacher and felt shock. He shook his head and rubbed his eyes, accompanied with a groan. He sighed and spun his pen around.
"Alright class, I'm Miss Anne, your math teacher." she plainly said. "Those who want to talk during my class, not listen, or just plain disrespect me, get out."
Lyved gladly stood up, grabbed her bag, and left the classroom. Miss Anne and the class just stared at her bold actions and looked away. Lyved grinned at the students before she left and turned around. A hand took Lyved's arm, which made her stop walking.
"Just stay, Lyved."
Lyved turned around and saw Callum. She raised an eyebrow and threw away his hand. She blew up the bubblegum so huge that it popped on Callum's face.
"I hardly met you, and you're doing this?" Lyved whispered.
"So? Why not?" Callum said.
"You're an idiot, did you know that?"
"What are you two doing?" Miss Anne scolded.
"Ask him, I was about to leave." Lyved said. Miss Anne looked at Callum expectantly, which made him go back to his seat and forget whatever just happened.
Lyved left and slammed the door shut. She walked away with her bag and yawned with boredom. She walked to a 2nd year classroom. As she was about to knock on the door, she realised what she was doing. She pulled her hand away and walked through the hallway again.
Lyved then waited at the top of the stairs, which was at the end of the hallway she just walked through. Soon, she saw Mike, looking around.
"Hey." Lyved called.
Mike looked at Lyved and quickly ran to her. He sat on the stairs while Lyved stood up and leaned against the railing. Mike sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose.
"What did you do?" Mike asked.
"I just did what the teacher wanted." Lyved explained.
"If the teacher says, 'leave if you're going to disrespect me', don't leave. It's already hard enough for you, don't make it worse."
"That's amazing. I didn't even call you to go outside your classroom, and here you are."
"I saw you through the window."
"You chose to go outside though."
"It looked like you were spacing out, I just wanted to know what happened."
"Here you are, doing whatever you want. You don't even need me anymore."
"That's not true."
"You need to stand up for yourself, okay?"
"What are you saying?"
"This might be my last---"
Mike stood up and covered Lyved's mouth from behind. He breathed in heavily and was quiet.
"Don't say that."
Mike left quietly and opened the classroom door. He quickly looked back only to see Lyved walking up the stairs. He went inside, worried about Lyved.

Callum tapped his pen against his desk and sighed with worry. He constantly checked the wall clock to see if the period was almost over. Dregan looked at him and rolled his eyes. He watched the math teacher talk about rules and the topics that they were going to cover this semester.
The bell finally rang after an hour. Callum stood up and leaned against the wall beside him. He picked up and book and opened it, trying to read it to calm him down. Whenever it was about Lyved, he was always messing about. She always made him jumpy ever since he met her this morning.
The way her eyes were just sparkling a while ago, it just made Callum's heart beat faster. Honestly, he doesn't know what he's feeling right now. With no thoughts in mind, his heart eased from excitement. He closed his eyes and rubbed the bridge of his nose, letting his rectangle-framed glasses move up and down.
"Callum! Kyaaa!" his classmates swooned.
"What is it?" being patient as ever, he replied with a calm tone.
"He's so dreamy..." Mary commented.
"You're so right.." her friends sighed.
Callum had an average look, in his opinion. But, in the eyes of the girls, he was a patient wolf that would wait for the right person. And the girls would wish that the right person was them. He had messy brown hair, chocolate-hued eyes, perfectly thick lips, intense and sharp jawline, amazing smile, and the husky deep voice.
All-in-all, he wore glasses that made him look tame. His voice was definitely something to go on about, but what good would that do? His body frame was just right too. He had a body of a healthy and regularly exercising boy. One could stare at his stomach and sometimes, see a perfectly toned set of abs.
"I'm going to make him mine." Mary said.
"He deserves you!" her friends supported.
"That's right." Mary agreed.
Callum ignored the conversation even when he overheard some weird things. He sighed and waited for the teacher to come in. Finally, the teacher came in. All the students went back to their places and had a short whisper session.
"Let's quiet down now. I'm your Science teacher.."
Callum's hearing suddenly numbed. He saw Lyved coming back from outside and happily smiled when he saw her. No reason in particular, he just felt like she was safe again. He didn't know where she was back a while ago. It's good to be able to see her again, he thought.
"You keep starting at her." Dregan whispered to Callum.
"She seems so familiar, I don't remember though." Callum whispered back. Dregan looked back and saw Lyved staring outside the window to the hallway. Dregan raised an eyebrow at Callum and deemed it suspicious.
"Maybe you met at the mall or something. Just stop leaning back, it's disturbing me." Dregan ordered.
"I don't remember taking orders from you." Callum whispered angrily.
"Well, here's your first one. Stop staring at her."
Callum raised an eyebrow and looked at the front. He asked himself, why is Dregan so aggressive about her? Could it be that he has a crush on her? It's possible, he wouldn't know. He just transferred this year. Dregan could have stayed here for as long as he couldn't know.
Science class dragged on...
