"Why are you here all of a sudden?" her mom asked.

Lyved only shook in fear. She felt so scared. Her mom could see and eventually sighed and sipped a cup of tea.

"I'm sorry for hurting you back then. I was using some.. illegal substances.. back then. I just couldn't control myself."

"I.. I .. "

Her mom hugged her. Lyved's mom started crying and uncontrollably sobbing onto Lyved's shoulder. She didn't like the fact that maybe everything was a bit rushed. Everything was happening all at once.

"I'm going to Canada before this year ends. Do you want to study there instead? Please, study well this time, okay Dove?"

Lyved smiled.

"Mom, call me Lyved instead."

"Right, that's your nickname."

Lyved's mind cleared up. She was in fact Dove. Mind the word was. She was called Dove back then, but she just chose to be called Lyved nowadays. Even her mom said so.She could now understand why Dragen kept on calling her Dove. It's because that was her name back then.

"Do you remember Dragen?" Lyved asked.

"Of course! That rowdy kid always hung out with you when you were young."

Then how come she didn't remember? Everything before this past summer, her memory was hazy. She would remember the names of many, but not the experiences she had.

"When are we leaving?" Lyved asked.

"Around next week."

Lyved was sure. She wanted to leave the country to be able to experience new things. Start a new life. She would study harder now. She promised herself. Maybe even change nicknames?

"Can you think of a good nickname?" Lyved asked.

"Jeeyun honey, your real name, is good enough."

"Start calling me Jay from now on." Lyved said.

"Honestly, you have too many nicknames." her mom chuckled. "I'm still going to call you Lyved. You should go back to the city and get your things. You can spend time with your friends."

"Can I use your phone?" Lyved asked.

"Right there, behind the counter." mom pointed to the kitchen.

Lyved quickly ran to the counter and dialed Mike's apartment number. She waited for the phone to get picked up and just sighed impatiently.

"Hello? Who is this?"

"It's me! Lyved! Can you pick me up near the train station in an hour?"

"Lyved? What, why? Where are you?"

"I'm at Water Hill right now."

"Since when did you get released by the hospital?"

"Just today, actually. Early in the morning."

"Sure. Do you have your phone? Why are you calling my landline?"

"I don't. So I'll be expecting you to be there in an hour!"

Lyved dropped the phone, leaving Mike bewildered. Lyved immediately told her mom that she needed to go home, so she needed some allowance to buy a ticket back to the city. Before leaving, they exchanged contact numbers since Lyved always memorised hers.

"I'll see you by Saturday!" Lyved shouted before leaving, as it was already Wednesday today.

"Just come back safely!"

---

"Mike? Who was that?" Macy asked.

"No one in particular, but I'll need to pick them up." Mike nervously said.

"Really? You're not lying like usual?"

"Promise."

"Still, I'm coming with you."

"Can you not do this anymore? You're really pissing me off." Mike started to get serious.

"Only if you agree to be my boyfriend."

"Ugh, you disgust me. Don't follow me."

Mike slammed the door of his apartment and left.

"Only give me more reason to follow you." Macy muttered.

---

Mike arrived to the train station. He didn't want to make Lyved wait for him. Besides, he would get killed by her if he didn't arrive on time. Such a violent girl, he thought.

He remembered the times whenever Lyved would always make it so that the school was habitable by nerds and geeks alike, and not only for the jocks and bullies. Lyved made sure that the Red Hounds was eating well, doing well with their studies, and other things.

But whenever she didn't get her way, she would always give punishments. May it be to himself or the other members, he would always do them just for her.

After waiting for at least an hour, he finally saw Lyved. She was crying her heart out.

Mike ran to her and handed her a white handkerchief. She needed it more than he did, and he wiped her tears away.

"We should go to your flat." Mike whispered tenderly.

They walked slowly to Lyved's apartment and found out that she didn't have a key. Luckily, she hid one under this removable ply wood piece from the wall. It was something you wouldn't really see everyday.

Finally, they fell on the couch, Lyved still in Mike's arms.

"Why were you crying?"

"I wonder where Dragen is?"

"...Alex.. god, you look amazing...."

"....I can give this all to you..."

"... gladly.."

There he was. Kissing a girl with so much passion. He was holding a bottle of liquor. Lyved had been so cold-hearted that she didn't realise that her heart has always been weak to love and romance. Just to hear words like I love you from another was enough for Lyved to make her weak.

She obviously gave Dragen a chance, as she didn't even know what to expect with romantic moves. She just stared at them kissing and just started crying.

They weren't even going out, so why was she crying?

Lyved looked at the box and remembered the time when her hands were still smaller. She sobbed quietly and ran away. The promise to be able to protect each other. She was sure that she didn't want to give the handkerchief to Dragen. Not anymore.

".. Dove..?" Dragen muttered.

Lyved cried again. She just remembered what had happened moments ago. She didn't want to remember it anymore.

"Mike.. please.. stay with me forever." Lyved mumbled.

Mike, blushing crazy, stared at Lyved's face. She was now resting her head on his lap. His phone ringed off and a message popped up. He opened it and saw Macy's possessive-like texts.

[Macy : Mike, baby, come home! I'm so lonely, I need a cuddle. (;_;) ]

Mike only clicked his tongue and deleted the message. He wanted to be with Lyved forever too.

---

"Argh! Find him, I need him!" Macy shouted on her phone.

"Yes ma'am.."

The phone call ended and Macy tapped her fingers on the armrest.

"If I find another girl with you, I will make her suffer hell."
