Two Weeks later...
"Okay class, here's the results of your first math test!" Miss Anne said, passing out the test papers one by one. Lyved watched her walk until she reached her chair.
"You need to improve your grades, Lyved." Miss Anne whispered.
Lyved snickered at her face and blew bubblegum, not letting it pop. She hastily got her test paper and ripped it apart right in front of the teacher's face. She raised her eyebrow in front of the teacher, smirking at her reaction.
"You should have already recorded my grade, so the paper doesn't matter anymore." Lyved said.
"That's true, but why rip it apart?" Miss Anne asked.
"Why keep a piece a paper?"
Miss Anne rubbed the bridge of her nose and went silent. She looked at the still smirking Lyved and sighed.
"Since you're being like this, your classmate can tutor you." Miss Anne said. "And since Callum got the highest grade, he's going to tutor you until the next test."
Lyved rolled her eyes and looked at Callum, who's eyes were sparkling with enthusiasm and excitement. Mary looked over and felt a pang of jealousy. How come Callum doesn't look at me like that, Mary thought.
"That sucks." Lyved frowned.
"Yeah! How come Lyved's the only one who's getting tutored? There's probably others who failed too!" Mary shouted.
"Fortunately, only one failed the test. And she needs to improve her grades." Miss Anne looked at Lyved. "Callum, you should schedule when you're going to tutor her."
Callum nodded and smiled widely at Lyved, who only responded with rolling her eyes. Mary, filled with jealousy, grumbled and looked angrily at Lyved. She felt like Lyved was blocking her way to Callum's heart.
Dragen looked back and saw Lyved putting on her earphones to try to remove the noise the girls of the class were making. Soon, Lyved closed her eyes and snoozed off.
---
"What is she doing?" Mary asked.
"Ugh, she's acting like she doesn't even want Callum."
"Is she tricking him?"
"Stop talking!" Mary shouted.
"We should take care of her."
"She's been like that since the first day of school."
"She's so annoying."
Lyved, still oblivious to the noise, walks out of the classroom with a cinnamon roll in hand. She walked to the stairs, not noticing that Mary followed her. Lyved sang with the song she was listening to.
["Paper Hearts" by Tori Kelly. I do not own this song. Watch the media(or not).]
As the song ended, she reached the school rooftop's doors. She was leaning against the ledge and opened the pack and started taking chunks off of it. Soon, she started choking, punching her chest like crazy to force the bun to go down.
Mary took footage of it, wanting to use it against her. She was careful not to let Lyved notice her. She needed to get Callum not interested in her anymore. She watched Lyved choke on her food, but notice that she just continued to eat it.
"Masochist?" Mary whispered to herself.
Lyved just started to tear up. Why did she do this to herself? Pleasure? Attention? No one could see her here. She started to think about why she did start to eat this to torture herself. A person gave her a cinnamon bun, she ate it with no problem. She ate more since the person was giving so much to her. Eventually, she became sick and realised that she was allergic to it.
She wiped her tears away, her quiet whimpers muffled by the cinnamon bun she's forcing herself to eat. She swallowed hard and felt her throat burn and itch. She felt a strong reason to her cinnamon bun eating, but she just didn't remember too well.
"Hey, you!" a guy shouted.
Mary looked back, glad that the video didn't catch that last part. The same guys who Lyved punched two weeks ago were back. Mary was shocked and didn't know what they wanted.
"Have you seen Lyved?" the guy angrily asked.
"Sh-she's right there.." Mary stuttered, pointing to the rooftop doors.
The rowdy boys stomped through the rooftop door and kicked it open. Lyved looked back and saw the same guys. Mary was interested in what was happening and recorded a video about it.
"This is my territory." Lyved threatened.
"Students with no money can't buy rooftops."
"What do you want?"
The guy threw a punch at Lyved, but instead, she dodged and punched back. The guy fell to the ground, passed out. The other guys threw themselves to Lyved but she just pushed them back without punching back. She looked at them with pity and back to the person she thinks is the leader. She kneels so that the guy can hear her.
"Stop attacking me, or I will take over your gang." Lyved whispered.
"Y-you can't d-do that..." the guy said.
"I can."
"Then d-do it.."
"... I won't."
Lyved stood up and looked at the other guys. She walked back to the broken set of doors to the rooftop. The other guys just groaned at their leader. Mary ended the video, running down the stairs so that Lyved wouldn't see her.
Mary ran to the teacher's nook, preparing the video she recorded. She saw Teacher Bryan and quickly called him back to his chair before he left for recess.
"Sir! I just saw a student beating up some other students.." Mary said.
"What? Can you bring me to them?"
"No, I'm.. I'm scared to go back." Mary acted.
"Then, did you see another student who was watching?"
"No... but I recorded it, just in case.."
"Okay, let me see it."
Mary nodded shakily and showed him the video. It was obvious that it was Lyved punching the boys. Since at the end of the video, it was seen that she was walking back to the doors where Mary was hiding. Teacher Bryan was shocked and rubbed the bridge of his nose.
"Who do you think that person was?" Teacher Bryan asked.
"I think it's Lyved." Mary said.
"Thanks, I'll have to find these boys she beat up and ask if it was her."
Teacher Bryan pat Mary's shoulder and left the room, off to find Lyved and bring her to the guidance room. Mary, on the other hand, needed Lyved to be gone for a time. She looked around to find the boys and found them in the clinic.
"Hey, boys." Mary flirted.
"Wh-what do you want?" they stuttered.
"I need you to do something for me.."
