A/N: Sorry for the intense delay for the chapter. I had personal issues and accidentally delayed a book that was supposed to be daily updated. Anyways, to make up for it, I'm posting this chapter and the next one for today.
Finally, the science class ended. Lyved stood up and picked up her wallet, her juice packet, and sandwich from her bag. She didn't like eating in the cafeteria room.
Lyved walked up the stairs with little drag in her feet. What she didn't know is that a person was following her silently. Lyved opened the doors of the rooftop and just today, left it open. It's not like she would get company, she thought.
She sat down on the end of the ledge and opened the packet which the sandwich was in. She was staring at the people underneath her. There were groups of people that were walking together. Maybe they were having fun, she thought. She could tell, and felt a pang of jealousy.
"Hey."
Lyved opened her eyes and looked back. She scooted backwards from the person to her right. Callum had brought two lunchboxes from the cafeteria and 2 bottles of water. He put one lunchbox in front of Lyved, earning a confused look from her.
"Don't you know who I am?" Lyved threatened.
"No, that's why I want to know." Callum said.
"You could have the worst high school if I choose it." she threatened again.
"That isn't right, I should choose how my high school goes."
"You could lose your friends if you talk with me."
"I don't have any to begin with, I just transferred."
"You could get hurt because of me."
"Why is that?"
"Shut up. What, did the 2nd years send you here to poison me? Nice try, tell them I don't like to eat lunch boxes."
"2nd years? Do you know them?"
"Don't try to act innocent."
"Honestly, I'm a new student."
"If you are, I feel sorry for you."
Lyced stayed silent and stared at Callum with pity.
Lyved was convinced that Macy could have ordered a younger student just to make her go off guard. For all she knows, she could be in danger if she ate that stupid lunchbox. She stood up and looked down on the sitting down Callum.
"Leave, this is my territory." Lyved threatened.
"You own the rooftop? You can buy school rooftops nowadays?"
"Stop acting so dumb and get out!" Lyved shouted.
Callum was shocked, stood up and left one lunchbox and a bottle of water, just in case. It angered Lyved much more, making her pick them up and throw them over the edge of the rooftop. Callum just stared at her in confusion and misunderstanding.
"I said get out!"
"Hey! You!" Mike shouted from the rooftop doors. Callum looked back and recognised Mike. It's almost as if Mike did the same, since they stood in silence and shock. Mike shook it off and ran to Callum, grabbing his arm and dragging him inside the school.
As soon as they were out of anyone's earshot, they both took the time to look at each other and breathe it all in.
"Don't anger her, okay?" Mike pleaded.
"Why does she seem so familiar?" Callum asked.
"What? How would I know? I think I only met you today."
"I met you somewhere too, right?"
"You're probably mistaking me for someone else."
Callum looked like he was about to say something else, but wasn't able to anyway since Mike left and went back upstairs. He went back up on the rooftop and saw Lyved leaning against the fence of the rooftop. He walked up to her and leaned against the fence in the similar style she did.
"Are you alright?" Mike asked.
"You should ask yourself that." Lyved mumbled.
"Why do you think so?"
"You're doing things for me. You know I don't like to have debt."
"It's alright, I'm doing this for free."
"Tch. For free? Do I look like some kind of beggar to you?"
"No, but why were you shouting at a freshman?"
"Since when does the group I made order around freshmen?"
"What?"
"To think that freshman was here to poison me."
"...that's why you threw away the food he brought?"
"I couldn't risk it."
Mike stared at her, while Lyved was looking the other way. Her hair was riding the wind with grace and beauty. Her eyelashes were beautifully long and natural. Yet, her body build was similar to a guy who was naturally skinny but also a bit muscular. It was quiet.
"Try to be nicer to your classmates, okay? You're bringing yourself down again."
"Since when do you order me around?"
"I guess I never can, right?"
Mike left the fence and walked back to the doors. His hands were in his pockets, his fluffy hair perfectly styled to go up to the sky, and his tall figure needing to bend down to enter the school doors. Lyved stared at him until he was out of sight.
She finished up her sandwich and chugged down her juice and threw the packs away in the trashcan. She looked around for the janitor and finally sighed in relief when she found the one she was looking for.
"I'm sorry, I'll clean it up for you." Lyved said.
"No worries, I was watching you from the field. You should fix that temper of yours." the janitor said.
"Thanks."
Lyved walked around and saw a person she didn't want to see. Macy was looking around and finally smirked when she saw Lyved. Like a predator who has found her prey, she walks with so much force that she could actually break the tiled floor if she tried.
The janitor bowed and left immediately, fear crawling up their spines. Lyved just stood and crossed her arms and waited. She knew that Macy wanted something from her, but it's not like she was going to give in so easily.
"What do you want?" Lyved asked not-so-politely.
"I want my Mike back." Macy stated, raising an eyebrow as if she expected him to be with her. "In fact, where is he?"
"How should I know." Lyved turned around and started to walk away until Macy grabbed her arm.
"You should know. Or else, I will kill you right here, right now." Macy threatened.
"You and what army?" Lyved asked.
"This army." Macy snapped her fingers and a bunch of boys from behind her started walking fast towards Lyved.
"Nice army." Lyved snickered, making the boys stop in confusion.
"What are you waiting for? Hit her!" Macy screamed.
"You heard her." Lyved smirked at the 2 boys that were in front of her.
"Do it!" Macy screamed louder.
"Bark." Lyved ordered.
The 2 boys kneeled in fear and barked just as Lyved ordered. Lyved pat their heads, giving them each a strip of gum from her pack.
"See, as you scream to make them follow you, I speak with comfort and they do as I say." Lyved cockily showed off.
"I!.. urk!" Macy couldn't comment.
"Be good to your new boss, okay?" Lyved reminded the 6 boys that were around Macy.
"Yes Ma'am!" the 6 boys yelled in chorus.
"Good, see you."
