Maze Runner Prefrences

Newt*

     It's been five days since you arrived in the glade. You still haven't talked. It annoyed Newt, but Alby liked having someone who was as he said "all ears". That still didn't help you feel welcomed. How could a girl be allowed to be with all these hormonal boys. They would flirt, make snarky remarks, or just glare at you.
     It was getting harder for you not to talk. Your friends Minho and Newt would try to make you say something. Minho usually tried the joking affect or annoying you until you punched him in the arm. Newt tried to catch you off guard or asking you really sweetly with his British accent.
You almost cracked a few times. Minho was trying to make you laugh by sneak attacking you when you were asleep. You jolted up when he started tickling you. You sucked in your breath trying not to show you wanted to laugh. Apparently it worked he gave up within ten seconds.
Newt almost got you twice. The first was when he came up behind you and you didn't notice. You were deep in thought, so it scared you half to death when he started talking to you. You didn't hear what he said because you were so scared you almost kicked him.
The second, was when he was talking to you. He asked in the sweetest voice if you would just say a word. He looked at you with pleading eyes and said he wouldn't tell anyone. You considered but in the end shook your head.
"Hey!" You looked around, "Y/N"
It was Gally. You tried to stay away from him. It was too late to pretend you didn't hear him, because he was only a few feet away from you.
"I know I haven't been very... nice to you, but I would like to change that. If you would follow me just right into that forest, you can see the true me." His words echoed in your mind. You were not going in that forest. He came in very close, "You better come, or else."
You followed him nervously. As soon as you were far enough away, he swung at you. Luckily you ducked. He tried again, connecting with your shoulder. As you slammed into the tree, he kicked you in the knees. You crumbled to the ground. This wasn't going to turn out good. A tear ran down you cheek and you heard a voice.
"What the bloody hell do you think you're doing?" Newt!!
"I just found her like this."
"Y/N, you have to tell me what happened."
"Newt, do you think maybe the person that did this could have something to do with why she doesn't talk?"
"Gally just get out of here and get Alby."
"Are you ok?" All you could do was cry into his arm. "You'll be alright. This won't happen again."
