"Eren, stop this. You keep saying things like that, and I'll kick you to next Sunday." Levi turned to look at the sniveling child, tears staining his cheeks. He sighed, watching as he rubbed his eyes and nose.

Eren shook his head, crying harder. "It's all my fault. If I would have just done it sooner. They wouldn't have had to suffer. It's all my fault, it's all my fault." He repeated that phrase over and over, the words drilling into his head and tears rolling down his face.

Levi tilted his head, his hooded eyes staring. "Eren, go back and wait for me there. I need to be alone with them for now." The boy nodded and the Corporal watched him as he got farther away. Turning his head back, he looked down at the four crosses stuck in the ground, side-by-side. One by one, he placed a single flower on top of the mounds of dirt.

His eyes stopped on one in particular. He knew exactly who was buried there, for he had done it himself. "Petra..." He couldn't say anything else, it was too painful.

Levi dropped to the ground, the womans body pinned against the tree, her head back, her eyes open. He carefully pulled her from the bark, holding her against his body. He brushed her blood stained hair from her face, craddling her and gazing into her empty eyes.

Suddenly his eyes watered, dripping onto her pale skin. Gripping her, he buried his face into her hair, shuddering and trying to hold it all in. He couldn't let his guard down, or allow his emotions to get in the way. Yet, as he stared at her lifeless form, he couldn't stop the aching in his chest. His arms tightened around her as he sat back onto the ground, letting the tears fall.

His brows creased together and he shook with anger. "I'm sorry, Petra. I'll kill that bitch, don't worry." He slowly lowered her to the ground, gently closing her eyes.

Levi shuddered, closing his eyes slowly. A soft breeze hit him, and cold air surrounded him but filled him with warmth. It was as though a hand had rested on his shoulder, four of them, to be exact. He covered his face and took a deep breath.

"You didn't die for nothing. Your death, was not for nothing. If there was another way, anything, I would have chosen it." He touched his shoulder, hoping it was Petra, hoping he wasn't just imagining. Tears rolled down his cheeks but he looked as he usually did. "Watch over me, Petra. You're my Angel now, you fool."
