Loki woke up next morning in the same old cabin as before.  He thought vegly that maybe it was all a dream. As he woke up a little bit more he became aware of the little warm figure beside him.

You where sleeping soundly and your face was relaxed and peaceful. Loki took a glance around the room and found that the old witch wasn't inside.

He turned his attention back to you.  Watching your chest rise and fall and looking at your sleeping face fondly. You where both facing each other on the bed.

He snaked his arm around your waist and pulled you gently closer to him, placing a soft kiss on your forhead.  You must have really been tired because you didnt wake up even then.

He felt his heart beat slightly faster at having you this close to him.  Well that was new.....why was this happening to him?  He was confused as why he reacted this way when he was around you. Why he felt the need to be kind to you and keep you safe.

He didn't think he should feel his way about you. About anyone. He was, Loki, God Of Mischief and Lies, and he shouldn't be falling for a meer mortal girl.  It's just that.....thats exactly what was happening to him.

After a few more moments of just holding your sleeping form next to his, the door to the cabin slowly opened and the witch crept inside.

The sound of the door opening woke you up and your eyes fluttered open after a second. You took in the situation and Loki let go of your waist.

You felt your stumach jump to the moon at being this close to him....being held in his arms. You where more than slightly let down when he removed his arm from you.

You snapped yourself out of it and sat up in the bed, looking down at him.  You had to hand it to the witch...he did look much better.

The color had returned to his face and he didn't look so frail and weak anymore.  "What happened to me?" He asked.  You noted that his voice was stronger.

"The old woman fixed you up somehow." You told him.  The old woman bustled over to the bed and took a look at him. "Yes it would apear i did. wonderful to see you looking better child." She said, putting the back of her hand to his forhead.

He shugged out of her reach and stood up out of the bed looking mildly alarmed.  She chuckle softly and made her way back to her kitchen area and threw some roots and herbs into boiling water.

You stood close to Loki.  He felt safe.

"Where are we?" He asked her, stepping gracefully towards her.  "My dears, you are in my home.  Ah, but these are not the answers you seek.  You have traveled deep into the Dark Forest.  Sit down, i will tell you all about it." She said, ushering you both to sit down at a little wooden coffee table as she shoved some sort of drink in your hand.

You did as you where told to do and sat down on a little pillow that was place by the little coffee table, taking a small sip of your drink. Loki sat protectively close to you and refused to touch his drink.

The old woman bustled about her kitchen for a few more moments untill she came and sat at the opposite side of the small coffee table.

"Okay dears, let me start from the beginning." She started, giving you both a look that made you slightly uncomfortable.

"It all started long long ago when there was once a village in this old forest. The village was prosperous and filled with children and livestock of all sorts.  they made trades for supplies and goods with all the neighboring villages.

One day the village had a newcomer. She wore an old dress and carried only but a single basket.  Her hair was long and black as a ravens feather, her eyes where silver like the light of the moon and her smile was bewitching.

The villagers had a distaste for the girl, but having had no reason not to trust her, they let her have the old abandoned house at the end of the village. As time went by the village noticed that the girl hardly left her house.  Strange things developed the longer the girl stayed.

The house they had given her had vines starting to climb it and flowers of red white and black starting circling it.  Still...the villagers had no reason to believe that she was dangerous or cursed, untill all the men started to go missing.

one by one the men of the little village would go missing, to be found days later by the local children playing in the woods.  They would always be the same.  Lost, confused, distant and no memory of ever being kidnapped.

One night a child looked out her bedroom to see the strange girl exit her house.  Her dark dress blowing softly in the night's wind.  The moonlight seemed to follow her shen she walked. How strange she acted.

She went and told her mother and father of what she saw and her father went out into the night to confront her, thinking this could possibly be the reason the men kept going missing.

the mother and the child went to the little girls room and watched from the window as the man of their house walked out into the night.

The girl was standing on the dirt road that went right through the village and she was incredibly visible even in the black of the night, where as the little girls father was only a dark shadow walking up to the bewitching woman.

The man yelled to her, but she did not seem to hear him.  She kept her misty eyes focused on the dark road ahead of her, not moving on inch.

The man walked right up to her and put his hand on her shoulder to get her attention. She turned towards him slowly and as if by magic, the man had a silvery glow around him aswell that made him visible in the dark of the night.

She slowly reached out and kissed him.  As if in a trance, the man followed her into the night as she led him into the black forest. The woman snapped her hands and the sliver light that surrounded them disappeared and the dark shadows where no longer visible.

The mother and the little girl watched helplessly from the window and at the first crack of dawn the mother alerted the intire village of what she saw. Her husband never came home that night.

The villagers rushed to her house at the edge of the town and knocked her door down and confronted her.  Her house was full of life from the forest. They damanded that she leave the village and never come back, screaming 'witch!' and threating to burn her alive if she didn't leave.

She packed what little she had, but before she left, she put a dark curse on the forest and told them if they didn't leave aswell, they would all come to death.

The villagers didn't believe her and they stayed.  Soon, the darkness she put on the place grew stronger and the villagers slowly died, one by one, day by day.

And the forest has been cursed ever since and to my knowledge, there is no way to lift the curse.  So here we are darlings.  More tea?"   She finished at last.

It was a quite a story.  You and Loki gave one another questioning looks and you said, "Um...no thank you.  May i ask why you live in this forest? How are you not affected by the curse?"

She smiled slyly at you and said,  "Magic will not work if you know how to protect yourself from it, dear."  And that was all she would say on the matter.

Her house seemed to be, 'protected' aswell.

Your mind was booming with questions and you didn't know which to ask first. "Take your time child, we have a while.  I will be back in an hour or so. Get your questions in order." The witch said, exiting the cabin before you had time to say anything.

You looked over to Loki and saw he seemed to be deep in thought aswell.  You went and sat by him in silence as you got your head straight and waited for the witch to return.
