Ashlyn's P.O.V

I saw Paige moving and I thought she was reaching for a branch so she could climb down so I didn't pay her much attention. But Kyle's shouting startled me, and by the time I looked up I saw Paige falling backwards.

 I quickly but cautiously scurried across the tree by Kyle's side as we tried to grab at least one of Paige's arms, but it was to late. 

When she hit the ground I swear I heard something of her's crack I don't know if it was her arm, leg, or what but it sounded brutal. Me and Kyle climbed down the tree rushing to her side. By the time we got down the tree she was already unconscious. 

Kyle was kneeling by Paige's side trying to see if he could wake her up and I was frantically dialing 911. 

Kyle had to take the phone away from me and headed inside because I was apparently to hysterical for the medical dispatcher to understand anything I was saying. 

Before he went inside, Kyle tossed me his phone and said to call Ryan or at least Chase and tell them to meet us at the hospital.

I tried calling Ryan but he didn't answer so I just left a voicemail and a message saying explaining what happened and for him to meet us at the hospital. I decided to just call Chase and hope that he answers unlike his annoying so called "best friend" who's apparently to good to answer his phone.

I dialed Chase's number and he answered on the second ring.

"Kyle, I swear if this is about borrowing money or doing your homework for you I'm hanging up." He grumbled

"First off this is Ashlyn that you're speaking to, and second of all I'm gonna need for you to get your butt down to the hospital right now." I said, laughing a little at the thought of how many times Kyle might've asked to borrow money from Chase or for Chase to "help" him with his homework.

"Oh, my bad hey Ashlyn, I have two things to say. Well actually I have one thing to say and one thing ti ask," He stated.

"Okay what's so important?" I asked impatiently and turning to see if Kyle had come back out of the house yet.

"The first thing is that I'm already at the hospital and the other thing is why did you want me to meet you at the hospital? Did you kick break Kyle's nose again Ashlyn?" He asked with a slight but obvious chuckle.

"Haha, you're so not funny and no I didn't break Kyle's nose, and why the heck are you at the hospital?" I asked rolling my eyes at his stupidity.

"Visiting my cousin she had her baby a little while ago." He replied with a hint of boredom in his tone.

"Anyways, Paige fell out of the tree outside of her room and hit the ground hard and now she's knocked out unconscious, and Ryan isn't answering his phone or messages so can you just be there for her because I know you still love and care about her wether you want to admit it or not." I grumbled walking in place.

"Uhh... What? I d-don't know what you're talking about I don't still love her. Okay obviously I care about her and miss her still but that doesn't mean still I love her," He mumbled hesitantly. 

"Mmhm, sure it doesn't Chase. Yeah I like so see your point," I replied sarcastically. There was silence over the line for a second before he replied back.

"I can hear the sarcasm in your voice Ashlyn, but as long as you can promise Ryan won't start anything I'l be there with you guys." He responded after a moment of hesitation.

"Okay good we'll see you there in hopefully about twenty or twenty-five minutes." I said hanging up the phone.

By the time I finished the call I looked up and noticed Kyle standing right behind me saying that the ambulance should be here any minute now. Nodding I went and sat down by Paige while we waited for the ambulance to show up.
