I think I Like Chase

Paige's POV

"Hey, Kyle?" I asked sitting from sitting my place on the floor.

"Yeah, Paige?" He responded texting someone, probably Ashlyn.

"Is it normal for guys to leave right after hey kiss a girl?" I asked nervously, I still haven't got over my kiss with Chase.

"Well it depends on the guy you're talking about," he explained. "Why do you ask?" He asked me curiously.

 I didn't know if I should tell him the real reason why I asked.

It was too much of a risk; he could tell Ryan, and then Chase's friendship with Ryan could be ruined all because of me. 

Although he is my best friend and we do tell each other anything. I'll just tell him to keep it a secret, yeah that's what I'll do. I first needed to know what he thought of Chase.

"What do you think of Chase?" I asked curiously. 

"He's alright I guess; he's not my most favorite person in the world, but he's okay." He said at least he was being honest.

Then without thinking I said it,"Chase and I kissed!" I exclaimed not being able to hold it in any longer.

"You kissed?" He asked in shock, and all I could do was nod my head in response. "Do you like him?" He asked curiously.

"I think I like him. I know I liked the kiss, but I don't think he liked it." I said sadly.

"Why do you think he didn't like the kiss?" He asked.

"Well, like right after we kissed he left." I explained looking down at my lap.

He looked at me for a few seconds, and asked me if anything happened before Chase left. 

"Umm, well right after we kissed Ryan knocked on my door to ask where Chase was, and after I got rid of Ryan; Chase just stared at me for a couple of seconds, and left." 

I explained trying not to leave out any details. Kyle listened intently to me as I explained, and when I finished explaining I waited patiently for his answer.

" Maybe Chase just wanted to give you time to think things over," He suggested. 

"Maybe, I hope your right," I said.

"Anyways," Kyle said trying to change the subject. "Are you going to tell Ryan?" He asked. 

" Do I have to?" I asked hoping he'd say no. 

"If you don't Chase might tell him; which could ruin their friendship, but if you tell him Ryan would go easier on you and allow you to date Chase." he explained.

"You're right I can't let Chase tell him I don't want their friendship ruined all because of me. I'll tell him that way he'll be more calm, so I can explain things so he won't freak out on Chase," I said smiling. 

He just nodded his head in response, and we started going over ways I could tell Ryan about me and Chase. 

Kyle also pointed out that I should talk to Chase first about our situation before Ryan.

Of course I agreed, wanting to know what a Chase thought of us. After me and Kyle's conversation Kyle left for to pick Ashlyn up for their date and I got ready for bed. 

I laid down on my bed, but before I fell asleep I whispered, "Tomorrow's the day I find out if he Chase likes me." I felt my eyes slowly shut and I fell into a peaceful sleep.
