Chapter Nineteen

Lucy could hear footsteps running up the stairs to Professor Trelawney's Divination classroom. She wondered who in the world would make such a ruckus when children were trying to learn?

"This is the Ministry of Magic, and we are to incarcerate Lucy Donavon," a man shouted from below them, completely unaware of where their victim was. "We would like you to send the girl to us."

Trelawney couldn't apprehend what was going on. She couldn't believe the Ministry of Magic would try and arrest a young girl . . . but then again, she didn't like Lucy so she yelled out, "Lucy Donavon is up here, boys."

Lucy couldn't believe her ears. Did Professor Trelawney just sell her out?

People stormed into the room. They tried to grab Lucy, and they were so close to getting her. All four men reached over to grab her, but one by one, they all started to fall to the ground, unconscious. Above them, Trelawney was holding a glass ball above her head, smirking.

"No one takes my students — even the ones I don't like!" Trelawney shouted.

"Uh, thanks Professor. I'll just . . . erm, let's just pretend we like each other for a second." A second passed by. "All right, you can hate me now."

She sent Lucy, Ron, and Harry down to Professor McGonagall's classroom. They do as they're told and return with McGonagall, a confused look on her face as she listened to what was going on.

"So, you're telling me that the Ministry of Magic tried to arrest Lucy over here for doing . . . nothing?" McGonagall asked. "Why would they be here?"

"Did you not listen, Minerva? We don't know!" Trelawney exaggerated, waving her hands around as she explained. "They just barged in here! No respect, those people —"

Lucy zoned out, trying to think of a possibility on why the Ministry of Magic would try and arrest her. What has she done that would make her wanted? She's only sixteen years old. There was no way she could've done anything bad anyway — she had been at Hogwarts all this time.

" . . . What does the Ministry want with Lucy? Is there something . . ."

Why did it all start to happen when everyone found out about the Dark Lord being her father? It's not something she wanted. Everyone was so terrified of what her father's done, they think she'd be a duplicate of the Dark Lord.

Wait.

Lucy explained, "I think I might know why they came! They thought I'd acme magic at Hogwarts since I'm the Dark Lord's child. The Ministry just found out that I'm Voldemort's daughter — they had to have if everyone here already knows. And, what would do you if the Dark Lord's child was at Hogwarts? I'd try to do everything I can to bring her down; maybe take her to Azkaban. Think about it."

McGonagall was the first to break the silence. "You're right, Lucy. That makes so much sense! Umbridge might have told them. Just wait until I get my hands on her . . ."

Then they all realized that there was still a class, and Trelawney's students stared amongst the five, wondering what was going on. They didn't have time to gossip about it since they were all dismissed immediately by Professor McGonagall.

She whispered to the other four, "I'll send an owl to Dumbledore right away."

Lucy, Harry, and Ron left Divination class in search to find Hermione and tell her all about class. Hermione was found in the library — obviously — with a book in her hand, her nose stuck to its interior spine. She was reading Hogwarts, A History. Shocker!

"Hermione," Ron whisper-yelled, "put that book down immediately! We have some news."

They told her everything. Hermione was listening closely. Lucy could tell she was making mental notes of the conversation. Hermione Granger was smart like that. Lucy picked up a stray Daily Prophet on the ground. Someone had probably dropped it there accidentally.

Lucy Donavon: Who Is She?

Who is Lucy Donavon, you may ask. I have wondered the same question when I first heard her name. Interesting, that girl is. From sources, I have learned quite a lot about her — and man is there a lot to know!

Phew, I first thought after I found some information about her. She is something, isn't she? First let me tell you this: be careful of her. From my sources, I have been told that she is the daughter of You-Know-Who, the notorious dark wizard we all know. No one knows who her mother is, though we're not sure if there was a lady involved at all.

Many are convinced that she is the sister or cousin of the infamous dark wizard, though others disagree. I believe that she is You-Know-Who's daughter. No one can really see the resemblance in them, but the girl's behavior says it all.

I had visited Hogwarts not too long ago to interview the girl. She was a snappy girl, very rude if I say so myself. Lucy Donavon has that ignorance most famous people have. Only some people including myself have the conscious of staying ourselves. The girl was very rude when I asked her some questions. She had shouted at me to leave when I asked her about her family, and she even had the nerve to slam the door on my face!

She has quite a temper too. I've noticed how she is with her friends, Harry Potter, Ronald Weasley, and Hermione Granger. Lucy likes to act as if they're below her, like they're peasants. I'd once heard her yell at them for getting an answer wrong on her homework. Poor kids having to be friends with someone like that.

She is very interested in the Dark Arts. I had met with Dolores Umbridge a couple weeks ago. She had told me, "That Lucy girl, yes, she has a very strong connection with the Dark Arts. She had asked me all about the spells You-Know-Who uses. If I hadn't known any better, I would've thought she was just making sure she doesn't use those spells! But it makes me think that she might be just like her father — cold-hearted, and dangerous."

But that's only part of what I learned about the mysterious Lucy Donavon. Hopefully tomorrow I'll be able to get more information about Lucy and tell you all about it. Until then!

Rita Skeeter

Lucy could not believe her eyes. She had to reread the story three more times before she would show the Golden Trio. Hermione gritted her teeth and started her rant on Rita Skeeter.

"That those old hags! Umbridge is in hiding, so in her face! Rita Skeeter always causes trouble. She made a story about Harry and me last year! Oh, I would love to see how she feels to be humiliated . . ."

Then Lucy saw it. She was about to go all Kungfu Panda on the Ministry of Magic.
