Chapter 9

Levi's POV:

Eren soon left the hospital due to the doctors kicking him out, I laid in my bed looking at the ceiling my head floating and soaring with this new feeling

I haven't felt this feeling in so long I don't even know if its right

Love? Am I feeling love?

He makes me so happy

I closed my eyes and ran my fingers through my hair, needles poked in my skin deeper and I winced. The sunlight was quickly fading as night took over.

I did feel a lot better

I didn't feel so sore and sick

Maybe ill be fine

Just as I was thinking that a nurse came in

"Sir Levi, we have had a suggestion by someone close to the guard that it would be good if you took a walk outside in the fresh air, the hospital air isn't good for your lungs at all times. Would you be willing to ask someone to come and take you outside?" the nurse said kindly

I turned my head, "Yea I would that would be good"

"Alright, we have someone here for you..." the small nurse turned and I saw Mikasa walk in, a small smile on her face

I looked at her surprised, "her?"

"Yes sir, is that a problem?" the nurse said concerned

"No" I said quickly, I tried to sit up but Mikasa came over resting her hand on the top of my back helping me, "thank you" I hated having help, I gritted my teeth and swung my legs over the side of the bed resting my bare feet on the cold floor

"would you like some shoes sir?" Mikasa said, she was very close to my ear, involuntary shivers went down my spine

"No, it is warm out I will be fine" I stood up, straightening out but soon bending over due to my injuries.

"sir I will take these out, they don't need to be in for a while" the nurse walked over and removed the needles and wires sticking out of my arms and neck

"thank you" I walked forward trying my best to not need Mikasa's arm, but I soon clung onto it as my ribs hurt and my leg was still unstable. It didn't break, it was just badly bruised so I didn't have a cast just a brace

We soon made it out of the hospital, we walked down the path of the gardens.

The whole time Mikasa clung to me, her breath ruffling my ears and hair. I kept my senses heightened.

"Now Mikasa why did you volunteer to help me" I said after we had gotten to a bench. Mikasa looked at me surprise etched across her face, she was easy to read once you figured out who she was

"What do you mean captain"

"You chose to help me, why?"

She paused, looking at me and considering what to say "sir, I actually wanted to talk to you"

Hm thought so, "so what do you want"

She turned her whole body to me, putting her leg up on the bench we were sitting on. The cherry trees around us starting to bloom and moving in the wind. "Well, its about Eren"

I snapped to attention silently

"You need to stay away from him, I know you like him" she looked threatening at me, I made no move or reaction "I know he likes you too, a lot. And I don't like it, you are just going to use him and I will not let him be hurt" her eyes flashed in warning

I snorted in annoyance, "What are you going to do? What can you do?" I leaned in, invading her space "you will have to walk through hell in order to stop this" I whispered, "and why do you care anyways" I growled

"Because I actually care for him, he is just confused" she sneered at me, I heard a twig snap and she looked to her left and she blinked in surprise

I was about to look over but her lips connected with mine before I could see or do anything

Eren's POV:

I took a walk outside in the warm summer night, there were no clouds in the sky so I could see the stars and moon clearly. There was a warm breeze as I walked through the cherry tree garden, the flowers were almost at full bloom and there was a sweet aroma in the area

I took a deep breath of peace, I closed my eyes and raised my arms twirling as I walked forward.

Holy shiiiit I feel so happy

A random smile broke out on my face as I opened my eyes walking forward faster, almost skipping along

I stepped on a twig, it made a loud cracking sound and I froze as I broke the peaceful silence. I looked around and my smile flew off my face

What I saw was Mikasa and Levi kissing, Levi was frozen and eyes wide open in shock and Mikasa full out making out with him

My hands fell to my sides loosely. Of course happiness doesn't last

Levi pushed on Mikasa's shoulders and she fell back, he whipped his head over and spotted me. He looked away and got up slowly

"LEVI!" Mikasa yelled as she fell on the ground, "Levi why did you kiss me!?"

"What the hell?!" I yelled, I turned my attention to Levi. He was walking towards me strongly, all his injuries forgotten "Levi care to explain!?"

He got over to me and took my hand, I ripped it out. "Don't touch me" I said, my shoulders tensed.

Levi's eyes flashed in anger, "I didn't do anything brat, you know she kissed me" his hand went to his side quickly, holding his ribs

I reached out and took his shoulders, looking at his hand "You are still in pain Levi why are you out here" my brown hair fell in front of my face and Levi reached out and moved it out of the way

I know you are alive inside when you do that Levi

Suddenly Levi's body fell and I caught his muscular shoulders keeping him from hitting the ground, he grunted in pain and I moved to see his face, blood was trickling down the side of his mouth and his eyes were drooping

"FUCK" I yelled, I scooped Levi up bridal style turning towards the hospital. I ran forward, completely forgetting about Mikasa. Levi's head tried to stay upright but he soon passed out, his arms fell loosely swinging in time with my running

"Nurse! NURSE! DOCTOR!" I dashed into the doors and was face to face with a doctor immediately

"Why did he leave!?" the doctor said directing me to a room, I set down Levi's weak body on the gurney and nurses crowded around him

"I don't know!" No, I know, Mikasa....she is going to get it

"Ok Eren leave now we will take care of this" I got pushed out of the room and the door slammed in my face. I rested my forehead against the door, tears now freely flowing down my face
