Eren X Levi. Ereri

Chapter 12

Eren's POV:

I was sitting alone in my room looking out the window into the cold air, it was now winter. 

Levi has been in a coma for a very long time, snow was covering the ground like a soft blanket

And everyone has been suffering because of it, we need his leadership. 

I haven't talked to Mikasa since that evening, and I just stayed in my room like the self pitying asshole I was

Great. Levi why are you gone it feels like you died.

I heard a soft knock on my door, I just looked at the door with tired eyes not bothering to get up.

The door opened slowly and Armin's head poked around the corner, I looked at him in surprise. He hadn't talked to me much either 

"Hey Eren...there is a raiding party going out later do you want to come along..." his voice trailed off as I stood up, he looked me up and down in surprise 

"Eren are you eating?" he came fully into the room and walked up to me, he reached out his hand and wrapped his fingers fully around my upper arm

I pushed him away and walked down the hallway towards the weapons cabin, Armin chased after me

"Wait! Eren!" he caught my shoulders and spun me around, forcing me to look at him, "you cant do this to yourself, you should go to the nurse..." he looked down at my arms and saw my new scars, I really couldn't care anymore

Leave me alone Armin. I walked away from him, leaving Armin standing in the middle of the hallway shocked. Serves you right for talking to a freak show like me

I went past the weapons and on towards the doctors office but something was different, the atmosphere was a lot more dim, I walked towards Levi's room

As I was opening the door to his room I took a deep breath, I poked my head in the room and saw Levi laying there like normal. His skin was pale and his hair stringy. 

I went to the side of his bed and looked down at him with sad eyes

I am so weak, I should be out there fighting for the others, fighting for Levi but im just so done.

"Please...wake up" I whispered, my voice cracking due to under use "I miss you"

I stood there for I don't know how long, just looking at Levi.

Why does this feel like goodbye

Tears flowed freely from my eyes as the heart monitor slowed 

"No" I whispered. Not yet please...

I looked at the heart monitor, the heartbeats were getting slower

You have suffered so much Levi

Slower

I moved my hand to Levi's hair, I looked at his beautiful face and saw one tear fall. It landed in his black hair

"Goodbye love" I leaned down and kissed his forehead, smelling his hair for one last time, feeling his presence for one more moment

Nurses started to come into the room, there was nothing they could do

Everyone was here to pay homage to Levi's last moments

I looked at Levi again, his chest rose

Then fell

Rose

And fell for the last time

The heart beats flat lined

Everything went into slow motion, I flung my body at Levi and wrapped my arms around his small shoulders, I was wailing, tears were everywhere as I clung onto Levi's lifeless body. I was shaking

But I could hear nothing

I was screaming

But all I felt was silence
