Epilogue

Eren's POV:

One side of Levi's casket was on my shoulder as I walked down the cobblestone road, lined with recruits and fighters from every team. The other sides of the casket were carried by Armin and others in Levi's old team

Snow was falling softly around us

Why did you have to go...you left me so soon Levi

We got to the end of the road, we were in front of a grand memorial. The place where Levi would be buried 

We set down the casket and the ceremony began

It was long and I didn't listen to any of it.

"And now...now comes the time for the first shovel of dirt to be placed on the casket" the minister said, I looked up and saw everyone was looking at me.

Mikasa wasn't at the funeral, I threatened her life if she dared to come

I didn't know a lot of people knew about Levi and I but apparently it was 'obvious'

I walked forward and took a shovel, I bowed my head as I put one shovel of dirt over Levi's casket

"Goodbye" I whispered, I then walked away passing the shovel to Armin and heading towards the empty part of the city

I was alone now, the quiet was unreal. 

Levi...Levi i'm so sorry that I am weak

I climbed to the top of the wall and looked over the vast field that was in front of me. The cold wind bit at my lungs 

I flung out my arms and tilting my head up towards the cold sky, closing my eyes and feeling the wind washing over me. 

I have to be strong for you Levi I know but...I cant.

I walked to the edge of the wall and looked down at the long drop that would surly kill me

Its so easy...

"I'm not stopping you Eren but Levi wouldn't want you to do that" I heard a voice cut through the silence say, I whipped around and saw Armin standing a few meters away from me the wind lifting his blonde hair away from his face

I looked back at the drop 

I turned away and went towards Armin, I patted his shoulder

"I know"
