Two Days Later
I was in the hospital bed watching Tv and eating a pudding cup. I like the chocolate one but the banana one was always my favorite because of banana pudding with the vanilla crackers and stuff.
"Baby girl we can go home." My grandma happily walked into my room followed by my doctor. "Ms. Jones you are able to go home. I up'd your dosage of medication and you should be fine once you get home and get more rest. Your family is able to take care of you at home." He said.
"I've given your grandmother some prescriptions of medicine and told her you are not allowed to be out of bed for the next week due to that blood loss. Drink PLENTY of water. I hope not to see you in here again Ms. Jones." He said shaking my hand.
"Here love, I went over Carey house and got all your stuff. It's in the taxi and I just grabbed you a shirt and some joggers with your uggs." She chuckled. "Here is a hoodie too it's about to rain outside." She said laying it on my bed. "Ok I'm going to go call the taxi up and you get dressed." She said before going out the door.
I Got up and went to the restroom. I quickly got dressed and came back out. I put on my uggs and hoodie and got ready to go. I turned around and my grandma hugged my side as we walked out. She helped me get in and she went around to the other side. When she got in, the taxi driver drove off.
"Grandma are we going to Alabama?" I asked. "Yes actually. I talked to the Detective and she said we could go back to Alabama and they'll call us anytime they need us and fly us down here if needed, but she said most likely to keep from having to move so much they'll try to move the trial over to Alabama's court system." She said. "Oh ok then." I said.
We got to the airport and grabbed our bags out the trunk with the help of the taxi man. We went in and my grandma had already bought our tickets and our flight took off in 15 minutes. "Come on baby we got fifteen minutes."
We hurried over to our gate and had our tickets scanned. We got onto the plane and loaded our luggage and took our seats.
As I was sitting next to my grandma, she grabbed my hand and smiled. "Good morning, ladies and gentlemen. We are getting ready for take off to Mobile Regional Airport in Mobile, Alabama. We'll be arriving about one o'clock, so please enjoy your flight and thank you for flying with Southwest Airlines." The pilot spoke over the Intercom.
"You live in Mobile granny?" I asked. "Oh, yes darling." She smiled. She sat back and pulled out a magazine to read. As she was flipping pages, I looked out the window as we started pulling out of the airport.
We were in the air by now, and I looked over the city of Chicago.
To think I would have killed myself behind the shadows in this city. Yet alone my life at home. Well what I did call home...
Now I can work on bigger and better things for myself..and the little human being growing inside of me.
I'm scared honestly. I'm thankful to have finally be reunited with family I thought never existed, but I'm right back to being scared because I'm pregnant.
I'm still shocked, but I don't know how to take care of a child. I know my mom's family will teach me, but I pray that I'm able to do it when they're not around.
By this time we were seeing the crystal blue sky full of fluffy white clouds. I could say I was walking them. It was astonishing. It made me want to close my eyes and dream of a life I'll soon be having...maybe a nap won't hurt.

"Sammy?" I heard someone say..
"Sammy?" It was repeated only to be followed by someone shaking me.
I quickly open my eyes and I felt my heart skip a beat, "What, What?!" I semi yelled.
"Baby girl it's ok it's just granny, we're here." She said assuring me. She was starring outside smiling. I followed her glaze and seen the city of Mobile.
It was beautiful. It made me tingle being in a new place, but I think I'll be ok.
We got up and grabbed our luggage and got off the plane. When I looked around it was very nice. So many fresh faces, it almost seemed as if I was in a whole other world.
"Hey Shugaa!" I heard my grandma call. I giggled a bit by the way she said it.
She was hugging a woman that was about my height. She was really pretty too. Her and my grandma turned my way and the lady covered her mouth. I looked down at myself to see if I did something I had no idea of.
"My God you look just like your mother." She said just smiling. "Samirah, this your aunt Chenise." My grandma said. The lady slowly walked up to me, holding out her arms. I was a bit hesitant, but she seemed so sweet and harmless.
"she won't hurt you." I thought to myself. Once she reached me she hugged me and you could tell my body was very tense. "it's okay, I promise I won't hurt you." she rubbed my back.
We hugged for a moment and It made me feel comfortable. "Come on, let's get your bags and go home. You have to meet all of your mom's family." She said taking one suitcase from my hand.
We walked out of the Airport and found her car. We put everything in the trunk and got in. She started the car and double checked for any passing cars.
Once we got onto the road I began to engulf the new vibes from a new city, family that won't treat me like shit, and a new chapter of life.
I relaxed and laid my head on head rest of my seat. "So are you going to enroll back into school?" My aunt asked.
I had to think for a minute, "Umm.." I mumbled. I mean what the heck, I could try. I haven't been in school for a year. "I would like to go back." I half smiled.
"Ok sweetie, we'll get it all figured it out." She said. I always thought of school as my way out of where I was. I'm a smart kid, a good kid, but to them...I was nothing but a piece of shit. I'm an A honor role student. I stayed on top of my grades. colleges we're looking at me and I needed them to know that I want to work hard and attend top colleges. When my au- Mister and Misses Williams started making my life a living hell, I couldn't take anymore..So I dropped out.
"I wanted nieces and nephews! Not a damn dyke ass niece! Your mother should have aborted you. You guys took my brother's happiness away!"
I stared out the window thinking. I honestly hope I can find myself being here. I can work on becoming a person for me and my child.
"Samirah we're here baby girl." My grandma said in an excited tone. I got out the car in awe. It was a nice little neighborhood, but behold in front of me was a two story house. Very nice too, but I closed my door and walked over to the trunk. It popped open and I grabbed my suitcases.
My aunt and grandma we're waiving me over to walk with them as they were heading to the house.
I looked to the sky real quick and whispered, "Thank you momma and thank you God." I smiled.
