Two Years Later...
Kanan's POV
I was meditating in my room when a loud crash interrupted me. I opened my door to find Zeb and Chopper fighting, again. Zeb got up and continued to chase Chopper. I sighed and closed my door. I returned to my spot on the floor and began the meditate again. My mind wandered. My thoughts were interrupted once again by Hera. "Kanan, we have a new op." She said. I sighed and stood. "Okay better prep everyone." She nodded and left my room.
I reached for my blaster which was sitting on my bed, when something fell out of the bed. I bent down and picked it up. It was and orange book. Ezra's journal. I inhaled sharply. Its been two years since he left. I flipped the cover open to see the last thing he left. A picture of the crew. I smiled slightly, but then reminded myself that he wasn't coming back. I gave up on that dream two years ago. I throw the book into the drawer and walk to the cockpit.
"We can get in here." Sabine said pointing to the map. "But we can't come out that way too." Hera nods. "Eh, where are we gonna come out then?" Zeb asks scratching the back of his head. " There's a landing platform here." Sabine says pointing to a small platform jutting out from the hologram. "Then that's how we run it." I say exiting the cockpit.
I walk past my room to a door I promised myself I would never look at again. Ezra's room. I sigh and open the door. Everything is exactly as he left it. I look around for a moment before noticing a picture sitting on his nightstand. It's covered in dust. I pick it up and look at it. It's a picture of him and me during one of our training sessions. I smile slightly as tears form. I quickly wipe them away, knowing that my padawan wasn't coming back.
AUTHOR'S NOTE IMPORTANT!!!
I'm really sorry if this chapter seems short. **don't kill the author please** I've been busy with the end of the school year and all that fun jazz. BUT, I will try to update more often now that summer's coming.
