Kanan's POV

I can't believe he's back. I've missed him so much. I feel whole again. I look around to see him grab his cloak. I smile. A real smile. Ezra looks at me and starts to walk towards me. "Kanan." He says in the wonderful voice I've missed so much. "Ezra, I'm glad you're back." I say trying to hold back tears. He smiles slightly. "I'm glad too." I can't stand it anymore. I think. I pull him into the biggest hug I could give. He seems taken back by this but soon gives in ad hugs me back. "I have so many questions." I say releasing him. "I know you do, and I'll tell you everything later, but can we get going?" I nod and run to the Ghost with Ezra not far behind.

Sabine's POV

I see Kanan running towards the Ghost and signal for Zeb to follow. As I look back I see someone with Kanan. He looks familiar. As I look closer I gasp. Ezra? I think. I run to he Ghost and stumble inside. Did I just see who I think I saw? Is Ezra really back, or was that just my imagination playing tricks on me? I look back again and see the same thing. He's back! Zeb isn't far behind me. I point behind him and he turns to look. I can tell be his expression that he's surprised. "The kid's back?" I nod and head inside to tell Hera.

Hera's POV

"He's what?!" I yell as Sabine tells me the news. "Yeah, Ezra's back." She says. I fall into my seat. I never doubted that he'd come back. I wonder how Kanan's taking this? I bet he's overwhelmed. I try to keep my mind on the mission. "Did you get get blasters?" I ask calmly. She nods and sits down. "I just can't believe he's back." I nod, but wonder how long he'll stay this time.

Ezra's POV

My mind is telling me to run in the other direction, but my feet just won't listen. I don't want to cause him any more grief. I've caused him enough disappointment already. He seems so happy that I'm here. I can't hurt him again. Never again. I run onto the Ghost and catch my breath. I can feel him watching me. I look up at him slightly. He has the funniest grin on his face. I really have missed him. At that point I try to say something, but nothing comes out. "Are you okay?" He asks. I nod and look away. "Ezra, what happened? Why did you leave?" I try to answer but can't I just sit there like a child. He's waiting for an answer I think. "It's okay, you don't have to answer right now. I'm glad you're back." I give him a brief smile before the rest of the Ghost crew walks in.

I'm greeted with "Hey Ezra and happy to see you". I can't bear to look at anyone. I hurt them so much. "Sabine is the first to hug me then Hera and even Zeb. I don't complain. "I bet you're tired." I hear Kanan say. I shake my head no. "Well we're heading back to Lothal to deliver there blasters so if you get tired you can rest in your old room. We kept it the way you left it." He finished. After everyone leaves I go to the turret gun and sit to think.

I can't stay.

Why not?

I've hurt them too much already.

Is that what she would have wanted?

No, but she isn't here anymore.

They need you.

No they don't. They seemed fine.

He's not "fine". He needs you. You're part of each other. Two halves to a whole.

I feel like  a total screw up.

Tell him that. He can help you if you'd just talk to him.

I'm to far gone.

"Hey kid." I hear Kanan's voice and it jolts me out of my thoughts. "Are you okay?" I nod slowly. "It's been a long time."  I look at him for the first time. He looks older. "Yeah, two years." He smiles at the sound of my voice. "You hair's gotten longer." He  comments. I rub the back of my head and nod.

As he turns around he says, "I've missed you so much Ezra." As he leaves I feel a single tear roll down my cheek.
