i know i said there would be 30 but there will only be 28 :/// (next chapter is last!!!!!) this is a short filler chapter because the ending will be kinda long

tyler pov

i feel someone squeeze my hand, and i try to open my eyes, but i can't. i can hear muffled voices, but i don't recognize any of them.

"josh?" i call out, but i don't think anyone hears. i squeeze his hand and i feel him jump up. i can feel a presence getting closer. "tyler, please, wake up. i know you can do it." i hear clearly. i try to open my eyes with all my might, and they very slowly flutter open.

the first thing i see is josh's tear stained face, and him smiling at me. "i am so sorry." i whisper, and my voice cracks. he just smiles big at me and looks over at someone. "he's awake!" then i see brendon and dallon walk over to me.

"i fucking knew it! i knew hes a fighter." brendon said while slapping josh's back. dallon smiled at me and gave josh a thumbs up. they walked out of the room, so then it was just me and josh. he kisses my nose and whispers, "don't ever fucking scare me like that again." i giggled and stuck out my pinky. he grabbed it will his and shook it. "i'm going to tell them you're awake, okay?" i nod and watch him leave.

joshs pov

"i told you." i turn around and see melanie looking at me. "exuse me?" i ask confused. "i told you he was a fighter. i knew that you're love would help him through this." she smiled really big at me and patted my back. "i guess you're right. thanks, ya know, for everything." i see a doctor walk towards me and i turn and look at him.

"are you here for tyler joseph?" i nod my head. "well since he just woke up, he can leave today. we are getting all of his records in check, but he should be able to leave in the next hour." he smiled at me and i smiled back. i muttured a small thanks to the doctor and god for helping tyler through this.

tylers pov
the movie and josh's subtle snores are the only sounds in the room. my head is going up and down at the same pace josh's breathing is going. i couldn't sleep because i keep having nightmares about the forest. i shift and look at him. he stirrs in his sleep then opens his eyes. he yawns and rubs his them.

"hey ty." i smiled and wave.

"can't sleep?" i nod and he motions for me to lay down on him. he kisses the top of my head and i smile to myself. "i love you." i mutter very quietly. i feel him chuckle in my hair and whisper it back. i take a deep breath and try to get some sleep.
