"Hurry up, Kellin!" Vic yelled.

"It takes time to look this good, okay? Don't fucking rush me." I sassed him.

"You look fine. Now let's go." Vic demanded. He was way too excited for Jaime 's stupid party.

I checked myself quickly before walking past him and going out the door.

"We're taking my car." I told him.

"Why?" He questioned.

"Because my car is better." I bragged.

He rolled his eyes and opened the door the the black Porsche.

"I'm surprised it's not pink." He joked.

"I had a pink one but my stupid rat of a stepdad made me sell it." I rolled my eyes.

Once we arrived to the party, it was about 7:30. I don't know why the hell he planned such an early party.

"Kellin, don't you think those shorts are a little too short?" Vic asked.

"No. I think they're perfectly fine." I said, annoyed.

"Alright, just try not to go around fucking too many guys." He replied.

"I'm a fucking virgin." I told him angrily.

"Oh." He grimaced. "Sorry."

"Yeah, whatever." I walked in.

There was literally no one there.

"Oh, hey guys! You're kinda late..." Jaime greeted.

"Yeah, where is everyone?" I questioned.

"Oh, the party doesn't start till 9:30. I just needed a couple of nerdy freshman to help me set up. I wouldn't actually invite you guys." He laughed.

"What? We're juniors." Vic furrowed his eyebrows.

"Oops. That's okay. You guys can still help." Jaime smiled.

"No, what the fuck? We aren't slaves." I grunted.

"You don't have to be so upset about it." He said with a sweet tone of voice.

"Actually, I fully have the right to be pissed off about this. We're leaving. Come on, Vic." I stormed out, Vic following suit.

We sat in the car and he had a sad look on his face.

"Are you okay?" I asked softly.

"Yeah. Just disappointed. I never thought that he'd be a total asshole." He said sadly.

"Look, I know I'm a piece of shit too, but can I do anything to make you feel better?" I suggested.

"I like dogs." He told me.

"Okay." I chuckled, driving off to a pet store.

I took him to one that was about 30 minutes away. We got out and walked inside. I immediately saw Vic's face light up. He ran over to the puppies, smiling widely. How cute.

"Kells, look at this one!" He exclaimed.

I walked over to him, seeing that he was obsessing over a small husky puppy. It was jumping around and tapping the window, eager to get out.

"God, I want a dog so bad." He whined.

"Why don't you have one?" I asked.

"Can't afford it." He mumbled.

I didn't reply as I walked over to an employee and requested to take the puppy out to play. The small dog ran around the gated area. Vic laughed as the dog licked his face.
