Kellin's Mum's POV

"Ryan, we need to talk." I spoke nervously.

"Okay... What's up, babe?" He asked.

"You've been abusing Kellin?" I looked at him sadly.

His breath got caught in his throat as he looked at me. I thought he was going to lie, but I was proven wrong by his next statement.

"Listen, he deserves it. The kid is a brat and I don't know how else put him in place." Ryan stated.

"Oh, whatever! My son is a fucking great kid, Ry! Do you really think I would let him be any different? Guess what? The answer is no! He's been through a lot of shit, okay? You have zero right to hit my son and if you disagree with that, then get out of my house." I told him.

I wasn't sure if I wanted him to stay or not, but when he got up and went out the door without another word, I only had one feeling.

Disappointment.

Kellin's POV

I woke up on top of Vic, holding both of his hands. I sat up and looked over, seeing that he was already awake.

"You're finally up." He smiled brightly.

"Mmmm." I groaned, holding up a finger to my lips.

Vic simply chuckled and wrapped his arms around me, kissing my cheek. I blushed and smiled softly, laying back down.

"God, you're so beautiful." Vic muttered.

"I know." I snuggled into him more.

"No, like- you're literally an angel to me. You're so perfect and fuck- I just really love you and if I ever lose you, I don't know what I'm gonna do with myself. You're way out of my league, and that kinda scares a me sometimes because you can get anyone you want... but you chose me. I don't even know why. I'm so lame and boring and annoying, like why?" He looked at me deeply.

"Because you're hot." I stated. "And you care about me. A lot."

"Hell yeah I do." He smiled proudly.

I kissed his cheek and reached up to whisper in his ear.

"I love you, Vic." I spoke softly.

"I love you, too, baby-" He paused and looked at me questioningly.

"Boy." I finished for him. He nodded his head and repeated the sentence with the proper pronoun.

"Do you want to go shopping today?" He asked.

I sat up, straddling him.

"What mall?" I raised an eyebrow in interest.

"I don't know. Any you choose." He said.

"Can I take you to one in Beverly?" I ask, tracing patterns on his upper chest.

"Sure, yeah!" He smiled brightly, rubbing my thighs softly.

I nodded happily and crawled off the bed. I went over to my dresser and picked out some clothes before heading to the bathroom and turning on the shower, waiting for the water to get warm. I came back in the room to see Vic off the bed, looking at some of my framed photos.

"Who's this?" He asked, holding up a picture of my ex and I.

"Oh...that's just my ex. He kinda fucked me over." I chuckled softly, trying to brush off the memories.

Vic seemed to notice the change of tone in my voice, so he nodded softly and set the frame back down.

"I'd never do that to you, baby." He said sweetly with a smile, reaching over and pulling me into his lap.

I blushed lightly as I straddled him, actually feeling affectionate for once. After sitting there for a few minutes, I told him I needed to shower and that's exactly what I did.

In my opinion, taking three hours to get ready wasn't that long, but Vic showed his disagreement as he rushed me out the door.

"Calm down, geez." I snapped as I crawled into the passenger seat of my car. I didn't feel like driving today, so I made Vic do it.

After multiple hours of driving, we arrived to my favorite mall, Beverly Center. I squealed in excitement as we parked, jumping out of the car immediately afterwards. Vic groggily dragged himself behind me through the front door and to my favorite store, Victoria's Secret. There was an amazing panty sale, 5 for $15 to be exact. I went through the piles, ending up with about 24 different pairs in my size. I looked down at the handful then up at my boyfriend who had wide eyes.

"I feel like I need more." I pouted, giving him the pile before grabbing another set of 5. "There we go."

Vic rolled his eyes and forced me over to the register before I bought any more. We next went to a couple of Vic's stores, where I ended up buying him a bunch of shit, even though he told me not to.

"It's all out of love." I said as I scanned my card for the millionth time that day.

"But still..." He mumbled, watching me pay.

I handed him his bag and took his other hand, leading him out the store. I was pleased with the purchases I made on the first floor of the mall and I was ready to move on to the next level.

I had already moved onto the next level in a different way. In a way of life, but when I saw a flash of lilac-blue hair, it's like I was pushed right back down to level one.

"N-no..." I whispered as I looked at the boy. I stopped walking and held Vic's hand tightly. He looked over at me and then at the boy in front of us.

"Kellin?" Awsten spoke.
