Emiko's POV

What did he just say?

"Don't go. Don't leave me in the dark, Miko."

He said it again. He said my nickname again. Was this a sign of his memories coming back? Zero's arms caged me in, stopping me from moving anywhere. I made no move to turn my body and look at him. I couldn't let him see me crying.

"Please let go." I spoke formally to him as if we were strangers. I made an attempt to pry his arms but he refused to let go.

"Why won't you answer me? Why is it that every time I see you or when I am around you, my heard suddenly does these flips? Why does my skin burn and tingle whenever I touch you? I don't underst—" I cut him off.

"Don't you have a girlfriend?" I say, referring to that wretched Yuki. I haven't looked at him yet, but I knew I took him by surprise due to arms loosening around me. He took a step back.

Silence fell upon us. No one dared to speak. My back faced him as I took a deep breath in and exhaled out.

"Aren't I the one who is tearing you two apart? Why are you coming to me and saying all these stuff to me when they should be for Yuki. I mean it's just like she said, I am the one trying to break a relationship because that's just who I am right? I'm one of those girls that need to take desperate measures even if it's crossing the line right?" I added, describing my so called sister.

Silence once again. No answer, no nothing. I sighed deeply and began to walk away just like I always do whenever I felt like giving up. It was only a few steps forward before I fell to a halt.

"Yea? Well I don't believe that." He said, stopping me.

I heard footsteps behind me and I was turned around roughly. His hands on my arms tightened as he looked at me with determined eyes.

"I don't believe a single word of that. You're not that sort of person, I know you aren't. When I said I felt tingles, I wasn't lying to you. When I said my heart does flips when I see you, again I wasn't lying. I was so overwhelmed by your confession that I didn't know what to say. You poured your feelings out and cried for me. It hurt me to see you like that and do you know what's painful for me to watch? You walking away from me in utter defeat. I never want to see you doing that again because I'm not letting you go, not now, not ever."

Just as I was about to open my mouth to say something back, I managed to see that spark in the corner of my eyes. All in slow motion, I pushed Zero out of the way hastily. It was so sudden that he didn't have time to comprehend and he fell to the floor a few steps away from me. Him still being injured, he laid on the floor groaning.

It was as if someone pressed the stop button and it was him and I. I slowly turn to face him and moved my lips so he could read. His eyes widened and tried sitting up but the play button was pressed. A loud beeping noise was heard and an explosion erupted behind me and enveloped me in it.

The last thing I heard was Zero screaming my name.

Aido's POV

"You talk to her so freely like that, I don't understand why you're not even scolded." I said, throwing a blood tablet into my cup filled with water. It slowly dissolves and the water turned into a bright red colour.

I took the cup in my hands and brought it to my lips, drinking it. I hold myself back from gagging like I always do. The taste was so vile and the blood was so old, but I gotta drink when I have to. I refuse for Lord Kaname to be disappointed in me like he had before when I almost took Yuki's blood.

"Well, I've practically known the kid since were young." Kain answered, laying lazily on the couch.

"Uh, I think you mean you've seen her at the balls the Kuran's hosted and just stood by and watched her? She didn't even know you. Plus, that was years ago." I implied smartly.

"Since when were you a smartass? I could have sworn your were the combination of dumb and dumber." He commented.

"Shut up!" I yelled.

"No, you shut up. Lower your voice, Aido. I am reading right now!" Ruka scolded in a hushed tone.

"Sorry, Medusa." I muttered under my breath.

"What did you say?"

"Ahem, nothing!"

I coughed and avoided Ruka's glaring eyes. I face my left side pretending not to see anything. Senri right now was, as usual, occasionally chewing his pocky. I swear, this guy buys ten packets a day. That's like a total of seventy packets a week. Oh em gee, when did I become so smart?

"Senri, have you seen Lady Emiko?" Rima's bored voice asks as she came back from who knows where carrying a bottle with brown stuff filled in it.

He shook his head in response and she sat herself next to him on the sofa. Come to think of it, I haven't see Lord Kaname anywhere at all.

"I wanted her to try this drink.." Rima mumbled before turning her head over to look at him. No emotion crossed her face however Senri got the signal and he sighed. He took the bottle from her hand and opened the lid.

A foul smell came from the bottle and I almost puked. I pressed my thumb and index on my nose. Ruka was dying—literally—she was squirming on the chair and letting out these weird pants, covering her nose just like I did.

Takuma sweatdropped and laughed nervously as he politely covered his nose with a large book, "What did you put in there?" He asked Rima.

Kain was simply unaffected by the smell and seemed to be sleeping—wha! At his time, how?!

"Whatever I could find in the fridge." Rima answered.

"Senri, you're not going to drink that are you?" Ruka asked, a scarf wrapped around her face as she stood as far away from him as possible.

Senri thought of this as a cue to drink it. He only took a few sips and I wanted to puke. He set it on the table before shoving quickly shoving pocky into mouth.

"Well? Is it good?" Rima questioned, urging him to rate it.

He held his fingers up. 10/10. Rima applauded herself, looking away. Just as she did, his fingers fell down one by one and the only thing thing left was a ball of his fist. 0/10. I couldn't agree more.

We suddenly heard a loud sound outside and we all looked at each other. On alert, we rushed out of the dorms immediately, following the smoke.

What the hell was happening?
