Hello! Just keep in mind, I wrote this when I was fourteen. It's been five years since I've written this, and I'm back to do some adjustments via editing so I don't have to cringe later on ahahah. I also would like to thank all the people who read my story, I honestly didn't think it would get this much attention :)) - eoraiv | 07/07/2021

Third Person P.O.V
A young girl who went by the name, Emiko, sat in her room with a book in her hand, skimming through the pages to free her of her boredom when she suddenly heard laughter outside. Placing the book down on her side table, she turned to look out the window and there she spotted her 'parents' standing out in the snow with a child she envied.
Juri, the mother, had long flowing brown hair that was perfectly waved. She wore a white dress and had a ribbon tied to her neck. and brown eyes that showed such kindness, something that the lonely girl was unfamiliar with.
Emiko looked over to the side to see Haruka, the father. He was a tall man, dressed in a grey-green coat with a navy top on the inside and wore grey dress pants. Unlike the woman, he had darker brown hair straight hair. His garnet colored eyes, too, held warmth and kindness.
Kindness that will never be directed to her, but instead, to the child standing before them, dressed warmly in a pink dress and mittens.
Yuki, was that child's name. Looking exactly like her mother with big brown eyes, fringed with red. Her eyes was something Emiko had always envied, so, so badly. If she was born with those eyes, would she have what she yearned for all these years?
"Mama! Papa! I wanna build a snow man!" Yuki exclaimed excitedly, looking up at her parents in her small form.
Haruka chuckled at his daughter's adorableness, "Well then, help papa gather snow and turn it into a ball."
Yuki nodded and bobbed down to gather some snow while her mother smiled and escaped back into the manor to make cups of hot chocolate, perfect for a snowy day.
Emiko watched them through the window, a hollow feeling engulfed her and she was consumed with sadness.
She sensed her envy for her sister grow bigger and bigger each day. Her thoughts ate away at her and she forced herself to look away from the window, squeezing her eyes shut as she sat herself on her bed and fisted the bed sheets. No.. she couldn't yearn for something she'd never have. Only one person would give her that, she just needed to focus on him.
Yet, it still wasn't enough.
She side glanced her body mirror. Her dreaded reflection looked back at her. Her eyes held back tears and the side of her face harboured a healing bruise. She touched her face only to wince and dropped her hand to her side. If only Yuki hadn't placed the blame on her for doing something so stupid, Juri wouldn't have needed to hit her.
As soon as the deed was done, why had her mother look down at her hand in disbelief?
She heard a knock, the door opened gently.
"Kaname-nii-sama!" Emiko said happily as she jumped off the bed and fell into his embrace.
"Hello, Emiko. How are you doing?" He asked, looking down at her with his usual gentle eyes.
"I'm good!" she smiled, "But where did you go? It was lonely without you here."
"My apologies that I took so long. I wanted to get this for you," He reached down into the pocket of his coat and handed her a bottle in which contained a flower inside. Emiko gently took it into her hands and carefully held it, afraid that if she held it with too much pressure it would break.
