He had planned for us to go out, that was until we both realized my lack of clothing might be an issue.
"I'll just call Sarah." I said simply.
Having him bring me home to get clothes and leave again might just add fuel to the metaphorical fire that had started at my house.
Axel handed me his phone, before going back up to his room to change clothes.
Typing in the number I somehow knew my memory, I thought of the best ways to tell her what I needed help with.
Well you see, I don't want to go home so I'm staying at a guys house and need clothes.
That might not exactly fly, even with it being Sarah.
She answered on the third ring.
"Hey Sarah, it's Celia."
"Oh my God! Are you okay? You never came back after you left, we were so worried-"
"I'm fine!" I laughed at her anxious tone. "Things didn't go so well with my um... friend I left with. But somone ended up saving me from that. Anyways I need clothes."
"Clothes? What happened to what you were wearing? Tell me you weren't out doing the nasty-"
I cringed. "Sarah."
She continued to rant and rave on about STD's and safe sex.
"That's not what I was doing! I just need something other than my dress to wear."
She let out a relieved sigh. "Okay then just come home and change."
I rolled my eyes. "If I could do that, I would've just showed up at home."
Axel came up behind me, the smell of his cologne drifted through the air. With a hairsbreadth between my back and his chest, I sucked in a breath.
"Why don't you just come back to the house?" Sarah's voice questioned through the speaker.
Apparently he heard her response.
"Because I won't let you go just yet." He whispered into the ear that wasn't pressed to the phone.
I shuddered slightly. "Well they won't exactly approve, but I don't want to go back yet. You know that."
She groaned, "Fine! Send me the address of where your at. I'll be there in a while."
I raised my fist in victory. Axel laughed at my ridiculous motion.
"Hurry! I really do want clothes to wear."
She growled a little. "I'll be there when I feel like it."
"Okay. Okay." I said mockingly.
The other line went silent. She really didn't feel like driving here.
I snickered a little before handing Axel his phone back.
"She sounds great."
I leaned back against the counter. Axel's body trapped me against the surface as he rested his palms behind me.
"Yeah." I nodded. "She really is."
Axel's already dark eyes darkened further as he looked over my face. Slowly his hand lifted to push a stray piece of hair away from my eyes.
I held me breath, the intensity of his gaze had affected even my breathing.
Suddenly he stepped back, shoving his hands down into his pockets.
