I had hit the lock button as soon as I heard Axel's door shut. Turning to face the charming devil in the doorway, I noticed he had donned his leather jacket.
Noticing the question in my eyes he strolled slowly over to me.
"My lady." He said with a small smile on his face.
One hand reached down to where I was sitting on the carpet, seeing no other choice I grabbed onto him.
"You have a jacket?" He asked while brushing the few stray strands of hair away from my eyes.
"Um, no?" He nodded once before walking to his closet which was slightly ajar.
"This is the smallest one I have." He said, holding up a hoodie with the Southwater emblem printed on its face.
"Why do I need a jacket?" I hadn't seen a need to pack one with me, mainly because it didn't get cold until after the sun set.
Axel tapped my arms, gesturing for me to lift them. I complied, but not before a blush stained my face.
Of course this didn't go by unnoticed. Axel laughed quietly and pulled the hoodie over me. Even though it was his from Junior High, it was too loose on me.
He shook his head. "I thought that one would fit for sure."
My eyes rolled on their own accord. "Lie."
Axel smiled again. Again he put out his hand for me to grab onto. Immediately I laced my fingers between his.
Taking a step closer to me so we were toe to toe, he leaned closely to my ear. "I knew it wouldn't fit, but I did know you would look hot in my old hoodie."
It's like he wanted me to look like a tomato forever. I shoved at his arm a little bit to which he just winked and kissed my cheek.
I'd never get used to that.
"Seriously, what's going on?" I pulled on a serious face.
"Well," He put an arm around me. "I am hold up my end of our bargain. Simply because I have already got that A in Language." He added like it was the most insignificant thing in the world.
I stopped in my tracks, my eyebrows raising to my hairline. "Are you serious?"
He flashed me that charming smile again. "Like the plague."
I couldn't help but fling my arms around him. "You are teachable!"
He hugged me back. "Yeah, yeah. Come on Red, we've got places to be."
"Axel-"
"Hush."
I sighed. "The deal doesn't matter. It's basically over."
He cut me a look. "Don't be ridiculous, the deal still matters."
I couldn't have disagreed more. "Axel-"
"Quiet."
I growled out my frustration. He just led me out of the room, ignoring my protest.
We stopped at the front door, more like I caused us to stop, with my heels dug into the ground and my weight pulling backwards from Axel's dragging me forward.
"What about your mom? I really don't want her to hate me." Even I could hear the worry in my voice.
"That's what I went to talk to her about." He said in a 'duh' tone.
I stood up straight. "Oh."
"You worry too much." He said with a slight shake of his head before snatching his keys off of the small table by the entrance of the house.
