Celia:
I fully believed I deserved a small pat on the back. By the grace of a higher power, I'd managed to get ready in under five minutes. Impressive right?
This giddy feeling had possessed my body, forcing me to live and breath nothing but Axel. Part of me still couldn't believe he wanted to go on a date. What even goes on during an actual date? I had no clue.
He stood at the bottom of the stairs, keys in hand, smiling when I skipped down the stairs.
"Ready?" He held out his hand to me.
I nodded excitedly, taking his hand in mine. It was all so surreal. Holding his hand, going on a date with him. But it all felt so right. It felt like I belonged there.
We walked towards his car, him opening my door for me before walking around to the drivers side.
I bit my lip to contain the girly queal wanting to burst from me. He shut the door, and looked over at me. A crooked smile played on his lips.
Not able to contain myself any longer, I bounced a little in my seat. "Where are we going?"
Axel tapped the end of my nose. "That, Little Ginger, is a suprise."
I lost a little bit of my bounce. "What? Why?"
"Because I said so." He started the car, and backed out onto the street.
"That's unfair." I grumbled lowly, folding my arms.
I plugged in my phone to charge and leaned back into the leather seat.
"It wouldn't be fun if it wasn't a suprise." He said, casting me a pointed look.
I rolled my eyes. "Maybe I don't want to be suprised."
He made a tsking sound. "I think you will."
He was probably right.
Axel reached forward and turned on the stereo system in his car. The sound of Scorpions drifted through the speakers situated around the car. Idly, I tapped my thumbs against my thighs to the resounding strums of the guitar.
In a dramatic movement I tapped on my thighs with my palms, mimicking the drum beat before launching into a solo. "You should give me a chance!" It was terribly off-key, but by my own discretion
Expecting him to laugh, or give me a look that read something similar to 'God you're weird', I was suprised to see him tap on the steering wheel and finish the rest of the song.
"This can't be the end!" He yelled. I looked at him with a wide smile.
Seemingly taking a breath at the same time, we sang the last verse.
"I'm still loving you!"
I laughed, but finished the rest of the song, going up in a higher voice while he was still singing, "I need your love!"
I laughed until my sides hurt.
"Didn't know you were a Scorpions fan." He gave me a sidelong glance.
I fake gasped, pretending to be outraged. "Were you trying to label me? Honestly no great music has existed since the late 70's to the 90's."
Axel smiled. "Yeah, you're most definitely the one."
"The one for what?"
He gave me a look of disbelief. "Nothing. I'll tell you later."
Well okay then.
We reached the outside of the city, crossing over into the larger town on the outskirts of where we were from.
I hadn't really gotten out much, let alone see anything out of Southwater. I drank in my surroundings.
