After grabbing a sufficient amount of wood for a fire I sat down and for the first time got an opportunity to get a good look at the others. They were all working hard to set up a basic camp, but as they moved about some things seemed to stick out about each.

Joe the taller boy with brown hair gave me the impression of its his way or no way and he clearly had the bite to back up his bark. One thing struck me though and that was his obsession with that pistol of his. Every now and then he would reach for it and once he found it in its place at his hip he would let it go satisfied.

Then there was the girl named Tessa. She was the shortest of us all and she seemed to stay pretty quite except for making snide remarks directed at Joe every time he directed an order at her. Clearly they were off to a bad start.

Sean was a completely different story.
No matter what it was he was doing he seemed like his mind was focused on something else. I guessed it had something to do with the weird object he constantly was playing with.

Kris was bigger and built like a tank. Definitely need to stay on his good side or you'd probably find yourself torn to pieces. He seemed to be similar in attitude with Joe.

While I was pondering this the girl named Hannah sat down right beside me.

"What are you thinking about." she asked.

I replied simply with,"nothin."

"Well that's not true. Your clearly thinking about something so don't deny it." she said with an almost parental tone.

This reply caught me off guard and when I turned to look at her she was staring directly at me with her brown eyes. She gave me the impression that lying to her wouldn't be possible luckily I was saved from her inquiring further by an argument that had broken out.

"Would you bring that log over here already?" Joe was shouting at Tessa.

"If you want it so bad come and get it yourself." was Tessa's reply.

"I asked you to do it so bring it over now!" Joe now furious was yelling.

"What big tough guy can't lift it? Is it to heavy for ya?" she replied sharply.

At that comment Joe drew his pistol and aimed it directly at Tessa. Before anyone could react Tessa, with unbelievable speed drew a small crossbow and called over to Joe.

"Do you think you threaten me? If I wanted your be dead already." and with that she lowered her weapon and walked over to me and Hannah and sat down.

"The first time you see people in years and already death threats. Wow." Tessa said loud enough for Joe to hear. "So now that we're all together were do we go from here?"

"I don't know what you all are doing, but I plan on heading to New Orleans since that was the last place to broadcast when radios still operated. Hopefully that's where any other survivors will go." is how I replied to her question.

"Wait, you just met the first people you've seen in years and your already ready to leave?" Tessa said sounding astonished.

"Ya you can't just leave us now. I think the others will agree that if you go were coming with." Hannah said.

"Fine sounds like we have a plan now we just have to get the others to come along" I told them both.
