At this point everyone was in a pretty bad mood. Everyone was exhausted beyond belief, we didn't have enough food for a proper meal, and my decision to head for New Orleans was being seriously questioned. This was especially true for Joe, since he didn't want to go in the first place he definitely wouldn't let this go.

"See what your damn New Orleans got us! Now just what are we going to do?" Joe shouted at me from across the fire we had managed to get lit. He had been ranting for about an hour now.

"I don't know, but your yelling isn't going to solve anything." was all I could say back to tired to get into a fight with him.

So I got up and walked over to where Hannah was sitting and asked her,"What are you thinking about?"

"Nothin." was her answer.

"Well that's not true. Your clearly thinking about something so don't deny it." I said remembering when she had said those exact words to me.

"Its just I don't know how were going to be able to make it. I mean our group is practically split between those with Joe and those with you. Not to mention our lack of supplies and Tessa now being injured." she answered.

I didn't really know what to tell her so I just went with saying it would all work out. I got up and began to walk off, but Hannah spoke again before I got anywhere.

"Oh yea Tessa wanted to talk to you if you don't mind." she said.

"Sure I guess." I replied.

We went over to where Tessa was sitting up against a tree and sat down. You could tell Tessa was not happy about being put out of commission by her injury, and we simply didn't have the supplies to make it much better for her.

"So what is it you want to talk about?" I asked Tessa still not sure why she wanted to talk to me.

"What do you think I want to talk about genius? What's the plan now?" Tessa replied sharply clearly finding my question stupid.

"I honestly don't know what to do. We can't really keep going with your leg the way it is and the others are not going to want to stay around here for long." was the only way I knew how to answer.

"Well Damian you seem to be the leader here so ultimately what we do it's up to you." Hannah said.

"Yea and my leg is fine enough to keep moving on." Tessa said backing Hannah up while trying to stand, but her injury prevented her from doing so.

"Tessa sit down before you hurt yourself and maybe I don't want to be the leader!" I shouted back maybe a little to loud.

Frustrated with everyone asking what the plan was now I got up and stormed off into the trees. I walked for a good fifteen minutes in till I came across a solid pine tree. Having always been good at climbing I scrambled up the tree in till I was seated roughly twenty feet off the ground. That's when to my surprise Joe and Kris came walking through the brush and stopped right underneath the tree I was in.

"I swear he's going to get us all killed if we keep following him." Joe's voice floated up to me.

"Well what do you suggest we do? They aren't going to just let us start leading the group." Kris responded to Joe.

"This is how I see it. Either they are going to let us take over or..." Joe was saying but got cut off when I dropped from the branch I was on.

"Or what Joe? What exactly are you going to due!" I yelled in his face.

"You sure are annoying. Of all people to still be alive why did you have to be one of them. Oh well." he said calmly.

Before I could due anything else Joe grabbed his gun and hit me over the head with its grip. My vision began to blur and I dropped down to my hands and knees.

"See ya later pal." Joe said while bringing a swift kick to the side of my head.

That's where I lost consciousness.
