A/N: Hmm. I forgot what I was going to type up here... Well, anyway, enjoy.
-Fun fact-This story was originally created by a happy thirteen year old who wanted a happy story about a girl with a mostly unhappy past but found family and love through perseverance. Now it's about a girl who's unfraid to hurt people, and has(severely), to get what she wants. -Fun fact2-There are many other characters with rather tragic pasts I may or may not have the pleasure of revealing that are almost(definitely in some cases) worst than Lareria's.(I need to stop torturing them XD)

"Winner of Block G! Sharín Kolle, fourth rank, the Lightspeed Dancer!"

I was speechless. The amount of sheer speed the fourth ranker displayed was nearly twice as fast as Sian had showed. She actually vanished from sight for a brief moment before knocking out the sixteenth ranker with no effort at all. I couldn't see see her, not even a blur, even if I had been distracted, my kinetic vision was far beyond average and it had only improved since my time at Kurona. To move that fast...it was like she was moving faster than sound. Or rather, almost like she moved as fast as light. But that was impossible...for a human, that is. And Zestiolans weren't human. But if they were capable of this, what else could they do? Could they move even faster than that?

"Lightspeed Dancer," I echoed with a hint of awe I shamefully couldn't conceal. "She's lives up to her namesake."

Deth didn't nod but I saw the agreement in the tightening of his eyes. "Now do you see what you're up against?" His gaze flickered from the arena to me. "If you defeat the man you're so frightened silly of and the person after him, you'll be facing one of the true monsters of the Academy."

My eye twitched. Frightened silly? "I already knew what I was up against. I fought one of those 'monsters' in the previous tournament, remember?"

"But he held back, didn't he?" He retorted, daring me with a glare to refute him.

I nodded reluctantly with a scowl. "But-"

"And you were also aided by the ninth ranker after..." Deth paused, drifting off as he stared at me. "After you froze."

My eyes narrowed unintentionally. I hadn't thought any had seen that moment where I had let my fear get the best of me. The oculus hadn't caught the entire event after all. "Ah, you saw that?" I murmured, watching him from the corner of my eye.

Deth nodded shortly. "You can't let it happen again. Especially now that others have seen it."

I arched a brow. "Let what happen?" I asked inquisitively.

"Being frozen in fear. You can't let the fear of fighting a superior opponent paralyzed you."

My brows furrowed as I restrained my first retort of, Well, you of all people would know about paralyzation, wouldn't you? It wasn't the right moment for that. "That didn't happen."

Deth's gaze intensified. "I saw it with my own eyes. When the fifth ranker attacked with his flames, you froze."

"Exactly."

Irritation and confusion flashed across his face. "First you admit you froze, then you say it didn't happen. Now you're saying 'exactly' as if you're agreeing. What in Veazu's name are you trying to say?"

"Veazu?"

"A water god," Raifa quipped helpfully.

Deth waved the question off. "What are you trying to say?"

I frowned in a moment of hesitance. I didn't want them to believe I had frozen because Tenran was stronger, but it was almost...embarrassing to admit the actual reason. Even if it was a psychological problem, it was still, in a way, a bit humiliating to admit I had a weakness to something so insignifant.
