Lucky me. As a prince, you would think that I get to do all this fun royal stuff and live in absolute luxury.

WRONG!

My dad, the King of The Great Land of Flower Moundia, says I need to build character. What better way to build character is there then to go sailing with pirates that are supposedly allies with our kingdom?

So now, I get to go on a four month journey with a bunch of pirates as they 'sail the seven seas!' Yippee.

I leave tomorrow at dawn, so all the maids are packing my things. Right now, I'm hiding in the broom closet to get away from all the "Should I pack your *insert random item completely unnecessary for journey*, your majesty," that the maids keep pestering me with.

I'm going on a ship. All that's needed is some clothes, stationary, and food. I'd pack it myself, but I'm a royal, and supposedly, having other people do your work for you builds character.

My dad is such a hypocrite.

"Aspen, my dear boy, why don't you come spend some time with your dear ol' dad before you go off tomorrow?" asked King Clarkson.

"Coming dad!" Prince Aspen trudged across the courtyard for some father-son bonding time.

"I can't believe that you'll be gone for four months. I hope you build some decent character!" said Clarkson as he ruffled the Prince's shaggy blonde hair.

"Isn't my life wonderful?" muttered the Prince.
