I left the palace this morning. Dad was a bit sad to see me go, but all he said when I was leaving was "I hope my boy comes home as a man of character."

Dad and his stupid character building. It's driving me to the brink of insainty!

All the pirates have jobs, and as I'm a prince, I thought they would give me a nice job, like make me serve food or something.

Nope!

I get to sweep the deck and wash plates after meals. Who knew that pirates were neat freaks?

Well, these pirates are neat freaks and pigs. One meal resulted in 783 dishes.

Yes, I counted.

I actually hope that the pirates forget me somewhere, because I hate doing the dishes!

I was washing dishes for 2 hours! My hands got all wrinkled and soggy.
I didn't even know that hands could get soggy.

And then, after each plate was shining, I was able to get a break by coming into my cabin! Finally!

Now, I sit in my cabin as the boat lurches around, and I regret telling the maids not to pack any seasickness medicine.

Seven Nights Later

The Captain and Navigator spoke in hushed tones.

"Is it true, what Erik told me?" asked Captain Sparrow. "Are we really heading into that big of a storm?"

"We can't tell for sure." said the Navigator. "But from what we have seen, it may be too late to turn back."

Little did they know, a boy-prince was crouched behind the barrels listening to their every word.
