Chapter 23: Bling Bling Ring Ring

* A Year Later*

<Calum's POV>

I'm freaking out. Today is the day I am going to ask my best friend to marry me. Currently she was sleeping next to me now that we have our own little apartment to ourselves. Later today I was planning on taking her to our old high school. I know what you're thinking, that's not romantic but I have my reasons...

*Flash Back to Year 10*
"Nicole! Over here!" I waved the beautiful brunette over to where I was sitting in the bleachers.

"Hi Calum." She waved sweetly to me as she sat down.

We have been dating for a whole month and today was the day I was going to kiss her and tell her I love her.  We were watching the football team kick the shit out of there competitors. I looked at the clock and there was only 5 minutes left in the game. I grabbed Nicole's hand and dragged her under the bleachers.

"Calum the game is almost over." She pouted.

"I know but I need to tell you something."

"Well I'm waiting." She giggled.

"I love you." And with that I pulled her in for a kiss as the final touchdown was scored. We just stood there kissing as  people were leaving. It was perfect. Then she said it.

"I love you too."

I felt my stomach start to growl. I slid out of bed trying not to wake Cole. I walked past our Nemo themed fish tank on my way to the kitchen saying hi to the little guys. Ever since the night at Dani's I've loved that movie.

I sat down on the couch with my bowl of cereal in my lap. I was flipping through the channels when I felt a soft pair of arms wrap around me giving me a slight kiss on the cheek. Her touch sent goose bumps all over my body. I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with her....hopefully she says yes.

*Later That Day*

"Calum Thomas Hood! Why bring me back to this hell hole?" Nicole yelled at me as we pulled up to our old school.

"Um a surprise?"

"I hate them."

"I know I just-just trust me babe. You'll love it." I smiled feeling even more nervous.

What if she hates this? Or says no. I pushed those thoughts out of my head and turned to my beautiful girlfriend.

"We'll see. If not you owe me ice cream." She smirked.

"How about we get ice cream anyway?"

"You know me so well." She said placing a kiss on my lips.

We walked up to the doors of this prison. Everyone is already at the felid. I held the door open for Cole. When she walked in I told her I was going to the bathroom. What I meant by that was that Luke, Mikey, and Ash were in the bathroom with my tux and the ring.

<Nicole's POV>

I was walking through the empty halls of the place I hated back when I was younger. I walked past my old homeroom from year 10 and saw Dani sitting in the teachers chair ripping pieces of what looked like test papers.

"Dani?" I questioned to make sure I wasn't seeing things.

"About damn time you got here." She laughed walking up to me and grabbing my arm.

"Why are you here?"

"Shhh." She put her index finger to my lips."Don't speak." She took my hand and dragged me into the bathroom. When we entered I saw Bryana with a beautiful knee length baby blue dress on a hanger.

"FINALLY!" She screamed running up to me giving me the dress in her hand before I could question anything.

"Change." They said simultaneously.

"But-"

"CHANGE!"

I walked into a stall and changed quickly. When I walked out they looked at me in awe. Dani handed me a pair of white-ish gray converse to wear with my dress causing me to laugh.

"You guys know me so well-"

"We got to go." Bryana said looking at her phone after receiving a text.

<Calum's POV>

I ran into the bathroom to find they guys sitting on the floor on there phones. Then Luke looked up and threw a piece of the cracked floor at Mikey letting him know I was in here.
"Yo what the fuck?" Mike questioned Luke.

"Look up dipshit." Luke smirked.

"Ohhh." Mikey said causing all of us to laugh.

"Where's my tux?" I asked taking off my shirt.

"Cal how many times do I have to tell you I like girls not guys?" Mikey said seriously then laughed.

"Shut up and give me my fucking clothes." I tried to stop laughing.

"In the handicap stall The ring is in your right shoe.."  Ashton pointed out.

"Thanks mate."

After I changed I ran to drive the car to the field while the others got changed. In the trunk I had the flowers that Luke forgot to get for the set up. Idiot  I thought making myself laugh at my own thoughts. When the guys came out I sent them into place texting Bryana letting her know we were ready.

<Nicole's POV>

We walked down the empty halls to outside where the field was. I was so confused when I saw the baby blue and gray rose petals leading to the bleachers. That made me even more confused. When I followed the fallen flowers I saw Ashton in  tux , who handed me a gray rose. Then Mikey- in a tux-handed me a baby blue rose. Luke was waiting for me around the side of the bleachers giving me a baby blue and gray tie-dye rose also in a tux. He whispered something along the lines of 'behind the bleachers' so I followed.

When I got to behind the bleachers I saw the love of my life in a tux. He walked up to me and gave m a kiss on the cheek. When I looked up to him, he wasn't there. He was down on one knee causing me to gasp. Tears of joy started to run down my cheeks. Then the words that left his lips caused me to hug him and repeatedly shake my head trying to choke out the word yes.
"Nicole Elizabeth Smith you have been my best friend since year 9. I have loved you since then and I have never stopped loving you. I remember we had our first kiss in this very spot. I told you I loved you an then didn't let you speak because I was scared of rejection so I just kissed you. Then you said it. That you loved me. Words couldn't describe how happy it would make me for you to be my wife and the mother of our children, and fish, and dogs. So how about it? Will you marry me?"

When we stood up he put the ring on my finger and everyone came up to us hugging me and congratulating us. I can't believe this just happened!
