Chapter 21

I walked out the classroom after talking to Josh. As usual he was being egotistical. I wasn’t surprise. He did look cute today, and I found him staring at me a quite few times. I always wondered what he was thinking. But the thing that surprised me most is when he kissed. He kissed me in public! No we weren’t dating. We weren’t at all! So it was very confusing when he did that. So I more like ran out the class room.

I bounded the corner with a swift turn my feet hitting the blue and red patterned tilesof the quiet hallway. I was running where? I had no idea. I was about to run into the bathroom, when someone grabbed me from being. I tried to struggle out, but I couldn’t. I was too weak. I was about to let out a scream but my kidnapper stopped me. My kidnapper smelled good. I couldn’t quite detect it but I did.

“If you scream, I swear I’ll drop you right her and turn you in.” someone said.

It was a man. Wait! I knew that voice. I knew this voice. This voice had been with me since I came. All the memories flashed through my head like the rushing waters of a waterfall.

“Matthew?” I said quietly

My kidnappers grip softens. I try to say something, but my kidnapper ties a rope around my mouth. They set me in a closet that was the janitor. The janitor closet was huge. He stepped inside the room and closed the doors. It was pitch black and all I could of hear is the breathing pattern of his.

I could hear my kidnapper take a few steps back and land on the wall. He switched the lights on accidently.  Tears start to form when I saw who it was. It was Matthew. I couldn’t believe this was happening. My ex-boyfriend was kidnapping me! For what I may ask?

He stares back at me with the pain in his eyes. He looked troubled. The once handsomeness he had, had vanished away leaving him with bags under his eyes. Is this all because of me? I should’ve never dated him. I should’ve never ever kissed Josh. I should’ve never shown any feelings to anybody. Like I told Jamie, I wasn’t her to break any hearts. And that’s exactly what I did. I broke his heart. I guess that’s what I deserve.

Matthew places his hands to his head. He slides down the wall, sitting across from. He didn’t not one ever looked me in the eye. He was filled of guilt, that he fought, because he thought he was doing the right thing. I wish I could of hugged him. Even though he was doing this to me I felt sorry for him. Very sorry.

He looked up, “ You know I didn’t want to do this.”

I looked at him.

“You see. I didn’t want to do this to you. I just wanted to get back at you. Not try to hurt you.”

My face showed that I was confused.

“I’m sorry I told. I’m sorry. If I knew, what this whole thing was I would of said no. “

What is he trying to tell me. Spit it out already!

“I told Manny, you’re a princess.” He said looking very upset at himself. Very upset, I mean he looked like he wanted to knock himself out.

I took me a  long time to process what he said, “ Yoo whaph! Youph tildd pha!”

I can’t believe he told. I knew I should’ve never trusted him. Never trust an angry person with a deep secret. But why should I be mad. He didn’t know that Manny was my arch nemesis. He didn’t know.

“I’m sorry.” He said in a muffled voice like he was going to cry.

“I’m just so sorry. You don’t deserve this. That’s why I brought you here.” He said

I nodded angrily at him.

“Manny wanted me to take you to the basement, but I felt so bad. Josh is on his way.”

I nodded.

Matthew gets up and runs his hands through his blond hair. He walks over to me and unties my hands, but not my feet. I try to get up. Once I got my balance I stood faced to face with Matthew. I guess I let the anger take over me because I swung so hard and slapped him across the face. He holds his face as his face starts to turn red.

“I guess I deserves that.”

I untie the tie on my mouth. I walk up and remove his hands. He stares at me in surprise. I place my hands there and kissed him. I don’t know why I did, but I did. I guess I felt pity for him. I felt sorry for him. He let Manny drag him into his little plan.

“Why’d you kiss me?” he said in a shock

“To prove to you that I still have a inch amount of feelings for you.” I said simply

“I recognize that I don’t like you.”

“What!”I said shocked

“I recognize that I like Jamie.”

My head snap to the blond boy standing in front of me, “ You what!”

“She’s always been there for me.” He said

“Well I’m glad you figured that out.”

I hug Matthew in a big hug. The door swings open and there standing is Josh.

“Elina get off of him he’s a traitor.”

“He’s not-

Josh swings at Matthew and knocks him out. Matthew land on the floor with a thump! He was out cold. I looked at Josh who looked at me surprised. We had to help Matthew. We just had.

 I dropped to the floor and put my hands to Matthew face. I slapped it softly a little bit. Josh tryed to pull me off of him.

“Why the heck are you helping this loser!?” Josh said

“He’s not a loser! He helped me!”

“All he did was put you in danger!”

“No you put me in danger too!” I said

“How?” he said to me

“You kissed me in public! When Manny was in the room!”

“So….”

“You know she attacks me! She hates me! She wants you!”

“Oh..” he said the memory coming back to him, “ I wouldn’t want you to get hurt again.”

“Well you can help me help Matthew.”

Ring! Ring!

I dug my hands in Matthew pocket and looked at the caller I.D. it was Manny. Her name was Disguised at M. I through the phone to Josh who looked confused. I told him to pretend he was Matthew. He nodded and opened the phone.

“Hello.” Josh said into the phone

“Hey, Matt, did you get the tramp.” Manny said

“Yeah she’s right here.”

“Where are you guys?”

“Sorry, I got to go, one of the teachers are coming.” Josh said snapping off the phone

In the meanwhile Matthew was recovering from the hard hit he had recently got on his face. He stood up, and I dashed a little water from my bag  on his face. He shakes it off.

“Dude why would you punch me!” Matthew said freaking out

“Because of this!” Josh said throwing a paper into his face

Matthew catches it and opens the crumpled paper. He starts to read it and then his face turns angry.

“I didn’t write this!” Matthew said

“Don’t lie!”Josh said stepping into his face

“Then who wrote it!”I said

“I did.”  Someone said from behind

Oh no! She found us!
