Chapter 7 : Amelia's Birthday

A/N : these next two chapters are about Amelia birthday, her wish and how one lie changed everything.

~ Amelia POV ~

I woke up this morning with the sun shining across the room from outside as my alarm clock goes off next to me. I sat up and turn it off and sat there for a few seconds. Just to finish waking myself up then it hit me I have to go see Derek and Paige together and making out of all days. I am starting hate the fact that I had fall in love with my best friend but to see him with another girl that not me kills me on the inside. I took a quick shower and changed into this dress outfit that I brought for this very day. It was a black lace dress and my ankle wedge boots. I curled my hair put on make up and walked down the stairs.

I grabbed a cereal bar and left out the house with my book bag, and my black sweater just in case I get cold. As I got into the car with my mom as she drove me to school.

~Derek POV ~

I left out the house and drove to school with Peter who was still giving me grief about being blind to Amelia and my feelings towards her. But I don't care I know how I feel and who I want and that's Paige. I ignore peter for the rest of the ride until we pulled up the the school. I remember I have the necklaces in my pocket that I got for Mel birthday a month or two ago. I got out the car grabbed my book bag and walked up to the school. Every class went by quick, and I was walking the halls when I saw Mel in study hall with her ear phone on reading. I stood there I rubbed the back of my neck" took a deep breath before walking In and sitting down across from her. Hey Mel she did noticed I was there until I put my hand on her book. Oh! Sorry she said as she closed her book and removed her earphones. What's up ? She said. I want to come and wish you happy birthday and give you this I said handing her a black velvet box. She had a surprised look on her face , I could not notice how beautiful she looks today especially in that dress. I looked out the window to erase thoughts I had.

~Amelia POV ~

I saw the box and was surprised by it, you really shouldn't have I said grabbed the box. I know but I got it for you a while back when we went shopping for school. I hope you like it he said, as I open the box and saw a necklace as I grasped at how beautiful it was engraved " friendship is the most important thing anyone should have I am glad you will always be my friend always & forever. To Mel from Derek."I smiled and looked up at him I love it thank you. Your welcome, do you want me to help put it on? He asked. I nodded yes and he grabbed the necklace from my hand and walked around the table then stood behind me placing the necklace on me.

I picked up my phone took a picture of it , it was truly beautiful a blue sapphire necklace. He came back around and sat down and looked at me. Its a his and her sapphire necklace I have one to, he said. He pulled it out his shirt to show me.

Wow is all I could say at the moment. This most have cost a lot you shouldn't have done it I said. Don't worry about how much it cost I just added our name to it. Don't worry just be happy , on your birthday is all I want, he said. As the bell ranged and we left study hall.

~fast forward from school to the surprise party ~

I walked home so happy to be out of school and be out of practice after school all I want to do is lay down or go watch a movie maybe the new captain America : the civil war. I walked up to my house when I saw no cars in the drive way, my mom and dad must be out. I checked my watch to check the time its just made 6p. They most have forgot my birthday again for the second time in the row. I pulled out my keys and open the door I walked in and turn on the lights when people yelled surprise " I jumped" what the deuce!?!? I said. Happy birthday hun said my mom as she hugged. I thought your guys forgot again, I said. Nope it is not often that your daughter turns 16 years old, and grown up to fast , said my dad. I smiled and nods my head in agreement. I be back in have to put on my other dress, I whisper to my parents. Go head we can entertain your friends until you return, I smiled and nodded. I ran upstairs and change dress and shoes I reply my make up back on. I looked at my self in the mirror.

I walked out the room and down the stairs. As I walked down the stairs and I saw Derek walking in as he looked up at me. Wow I mumbled under my breathe he looked Handsome of what he has on.

Is it weird that I am so in love with him? Wait did I just finally admit to myself that I am in love with Derek Hale? Omg I am in love with him . I pushed that thought to the back of my mind as I saw Paige walk up beside him. I need a drink I told myself as I walk through through the crowed to the kitchen.

~Derek POV ~

I walked and looked around and then I saw Mel coming down the stairs and she looked so breathe taken beautiful . wow did I just say admit that to myself I gotta stop saying things like that. My eyes lock on Mel until Paige walked up next to me.
