"Morning, morning. Breakfast is ready, Ross."

I fluttered my eyes open, mom coming in view, making a smile creep up on my face.

Mom.

I sat up, seeing her smile warmly at me. "Slept well? "

"Yeah. Definitely did."

I shyly opened my arms, needing a hug as she chuckled coming in. "Glad you did. I'll leave you to get ready then head to the kitchen for breakfast."

"I'll be there in five," I replied making her ruffle my hair before sanding up to the door. Just as the door clicked close, I got up to the bathroom, taking a long shower to freshen up.

The reason behind my great mood yesterday must be caused by Emily and Rydel. Having a sister whom would listen to you talk about the person you love felt so good. Especially since I trust her real strong.

Although something about Riker doesn't make me feel as comfortable as possible. I just seem to take a side away from him. He doesn't look like good news to me. Don't know why, he just doesn't.

Which was why I didn't tell him much about Emily.

I shut the water off, putting some new clothes on and drying my hair before adjusting it just the tad bit.

Walking down the hall, loud noises caught my attention as I walked to the kitchen, seeing Riker with three, strange looking guys.

I found myself giving them half of my full attention before one of them attached their gazes onto me.

"Yo, Rik," a brunette guy said pointing at me, "who's that? Is he your hot sister's boyfriend? "

"Dude, that's my sis you're talking about ."

"I don't understand why you bang a very random girl, then when it comes to me and your sis, you go all nuts. Plus, all I'd like to do is date her, it's not I'll just have a night and leave her, Bro," another shirt haired brunette replied making Riker's eyes grow wide.

I saw Rydel aiming down the stairs, peeking from the wall to have her eyes wide and mumble, "oh god."

she turned on her heels, and ran back upstairs making me stand up to follow her. "Delly, " I said just as she was about to enter her room, "who are these guys?"

"They're Riker's friends. Man whore friends."

I looked at her weirded out before she chuckled, shaking her head. "You see that short brunette guy," she said pointing at the one who was recently talking about her.

I nodded, looking back at her. "That's Ellington. He used to be my best friend, until Riker decided to end that since 'he was bad news for me' and 'he might catch feelings for me'. He wanted to keep in touch by being Riker's friend. We talk, but not that often anymore."

"Why would Riker forbid you from seeing your best friend?"

"You see," she paused sighing. "Riker is a bad boy. He actually did 'it' with every girl at school. Even the ones who are like five years younger than him. Since he does that alot, he thinks that if I dated a guy, or had a guy best friend, he'd do the same. But Ellington is different. Ellington risked being with Riker, and being called a fuckboy just like him just to see me everyday. "

I smiled, seeing her eyes glisten as she talked about him. "You like him, Delly."

She looked back at me, ending the staring fit on him, "uhm no, I don't. "

"You clearly do."

She sighed, looking back at him. "Okay, I do. I have been attracted to him since the very beginning of our friendship. And, look, he clearly does too."
