"So, you don't mind giving me extra money before I leave?" I said walking behind roxy as she smiled.

"I don't. Today was actually going to be your promotion day."

I smiled to myself as she got out of the shop, before I gave her the keys. "Thank you. I really needed that."

"it's no problem. I'm sorry, for you know what," she smiled sadly making me nod. "See you tomorrow, hopefully. Oh and I'll give you the cash right now. Just in case."

"Awh, great," I was so pleased to have her along with Emily now. After what happened a couple of hours ago, I think I'll be needing a shelter. So I was making my way to the crime scene.

The forest in front of the orphanage.

I made a little place to sleep, using the two blankets I brought in my bag. My life was literally on hold right now.

No home, no relatives, no shelter.

I had the phone beside me incase I received a call from Emily. She consumed my head and I seemed to not be able to function anymore.

Stress, worry, oppression, and more stress.

The waw my eyes eyes automatically opened, was way too tiring. I wanted yo close them, but my body was disfunctioned. I needed a rest, but was worried Emily would do something wild enough to let Mrs. Harold do something in order to threaten her, moreover, get rid of her.

Just as I predicted, the phone started buzzing, causing my hands to tremble.
I saw the familiar number, and immediately answered, standing up.

"Emily, Em what's wrong?"

I heard a few sobs on the line and that was when my heart ached. "She called them, Ross."

"What do you mean she called them?" I freaked out, standing up to see a vehicle park in front of the orphanage making my heart bump in dread.

"They're here, on the door please hurry up, I'll wait on in the terrace. "

"Don't hang up," I ran out of the forrest, taking my belongings before I left, and headed headed to the building. I kept the phone on my ear, not wanting to miss a certain action from anybody.

"I see you," she croaked out making me speed up.

"Climb down the building."

I saw her from a distance, struggling with her way down, and I was almost a hundred feet away.

her feet seemed to slip away since the phone was in her hands. I finally made it, right before her body fell backwards, making me catch her in my arms.

"I locked the door-"

Just then, a loud bang echoed through my ear, and sobs started escaping her lips.

She got down and we stated running as fast as possible towards the forest, having no path to follow.

The sun breaking through twilight was out only vision, but we made it. I got her free. I was free. And although we had no destination to follow, and almost no breath left, we were happy we made it.

"Ross.....Please.....rest," she slowed down needing to rest after a nonstop, 45 minute sprint.

I followed, feeling my legs burn and ache. Turning to face her, a smile spread across my face as i tried to force air back into my trachea."You- you can go back. I'll continue.......... running," she said between heavy breaths making me chuckle.

"There is no way in heaven I'm leaving you, " I stepped closer, making her laugh, unbelievably. "We're not Alone. "

I moved the hair strands out of her tired face, the smile never leaving my face.

"Emily, " I laughed. "No matter what happens, even if I die-"

"Don't say that," she hugged much waist, nuzzling her face on my neck.

"My point is," I hugged her back, trying to find my breath. "I'll always be right here."

My hand touched her chest, more towards her heart and I felt her smile against my neck.

"I love you, Emily. "

"I'm Alone without you, Ross."
