Chapter Eight - New People

As Laurence sat down chatting with Garroth. I hear two to three people around us. I twitch my ears, trying to get an exact number.

"W-WOAH!!"

A young woman falls from a tree infront of me.

"A-Are you okay!?"

(Sowwy! I had to improvise! I was just really excited to get this chapter out! You'll see where I improvise in a minute!)

She reaches for her great-sword but I grab her hand before she could.

"Let go of me! Kate run!'

"I'm not leaving you Tori!"

"I mean no harm! Please just listen!"

I let go of her hand. Then another woman, around my age, jumps down from the tree tops.

"I-I'm Kate.."

"(F/n)...Pleasure to meet you! May I ask your name?"

"It's Tori. Nice to meet you as well.."

I hear a grumble from their stomachs.

"D-Do you happen to have any spare food..?"

"KATE!! WE CAN'T ASK STRANGERS THAT!"

"I can catch something if you like."

"Y-Yes please!"

I sniff the air and transform. A deer....Maybe fifteen metres away from us.. I start to take off between the trees when I see the deer I had smelled. I attack it and kill it and drag its lifeless corpse to the girls and turn back to my human form. Kate looks at me with an expression of pure joy and sadness, while Tori smiles at Kate.

"I just need to cook it...You don't mind coming to my campsite right?"

"Nope-"

"KATE! Is....Anyone else there?"

"Yeah, but they're cool. They actually saved me..."

"From where..?"

"That's a story for another time."

"Okay! Let's go cook!"

I lift the deer onto my back and haul it back to the campsite, Tori and Kate walking beside me.

"What are these people like?"

"Well...Aphmau is kind and caring...Laurence is a Casanova, Garroth is very shy but formal, Travis is a bit of a perv and Casanova number two...and then there's Aaron...bit of a mystery man."

"I don't like the sound of Travis and Laurence."

"Just smack them on the back of the head if they get out of line...Or I can do it for you...I already pranked them all and they know not to mess with me."

"Okay! Thanks (F/n)!"

Kate pink hair fell down her shoulders, a bit of cyan at the tips.

"I love your hair colour!"

"Heh, thanks! Tori says it's too eye-catching."

"If it's eye-catching, it's a good distraction."

"I suppose your right (F/n)...Sorry Kate."

I hear steps....They sound like they belong to a wolf.."

"Careful...I think there are wolves.."

"It must be Poppy!"

"And Fang.."

"There's two!?"

"Nope! Fang is my cat!"

"So...Kates' wolf...and your cat...Get along?"

"Uh-Huh!"

"I'd love to see that! I've never seen it before! Just a random question...But who's oldest and youngest?"

"Tori is nineteen and I'm twenty-one."

"Tori! You're my age!"

"Awesome!"

We both high-five each other. Then I hear Travis snickering. He's behind us. How did I not sense him!?

"Travis...If you're doing what I think you're doing...I will hurt you."

"SORRY (F/N)!!!"

I sigh and face palm. Kate giggles and Tori rolls her eyes.

"So, frosty with green eyes is Travis..?"

"I'm totally calling him that now...FROSTY GET OVER HERE!!"

"DON'T CALL ME THAT!"

"MAKE ME!"

"O-Okay...I'm coming!"

Travis runs beside Kate, reaching for something.

"Duck."

Kate and Tori duck and I launch the deer at Travis. Bullseye.

"EEEW!! GET IT OFF OF ME!! WHY (F/N), WHY!?"

"I saw you reaching for something..."

I growl at him. I think me Tori and Kate were going to get along very well!

Time skip back to the camp after the deer has been cooked

"Thank Irene! We would've starved without you (F/n)!"

"Thanks for helping us...Though most Lupines do that for one another.."

"W-What are you talking about...?"

They take off their cloaks, Lupines...Just like me. I jump up and hug them tightly.

"Woah! What are you doing?"

"I've never met one of my own kind before...I...I don't remember my past so you two are the first!"

I see a black wolf with red tips on its tail and ears, I tossed it a piece of meat and saw a black cat jump off its back. So this is Fang and Poppy..

"Guys...T-There's a w-wolf a-and a c-cat behind u-us.."

Aphmau sounded scared as she said it.

"Oh! Fang is Toris' cat and Poppy's my wolf!"

I feel something on my butt...once again. At least it wasn't Tori or Kate. We all growl at him and he jumps back.

"I'm bored~"

"(F/N) CAN SING!"

The boys shout. Did they really...?

"Most Lupines can...For wolves...Howling is like singing...So I would expect her to be a great singer."

My cheeks were red. I don't sing in front of many people!

"Come on babyyyy~ Don't be shy we know you can sing~"

Alright Travis....Fine.

"Fine, I'll do it."

(Cue the music!)
