As I was sleeping, I could feel something warm pick me up. I looked up to see what it was. It was Carol. I guess when Tucker left the room, he went to get her.
"Oh my..." Is all she said. She looked at my win- hOLD UP A MINUTE. I COULD OF USED MY WINGS!!! Ugh. I'm an idiot. I keep on forgetting I have them.
She didn't see any damage, but she still huried me to the storage room. That's where she put all the cat kennels. She picked an orange small cage up and opened the door. It was the same one from the day I came here!
I can see where this is going... She carefully put me in the uncomfortable cage and closed the door shut. Where was she taking me? She carried me towards the front door.
I heard meows from behind, so I turned around to see Tucker and Pepper sitting in the hallway with a worried look on their faces.
Carol told them that she will be right back. What if I didn't come back? So many questions were flooding my mind. C'mon Stella, that'll never happen. I told myself.
Carol took out the keys and opened the door. I put my paw on the cage's window and meowed. I didn't want to leave.
Once we got outside, my back started to hurt. Really badly. I meowed in pain. Carol tried to sooth me, but it didn't work very well.
We entered the nice car and she put me in the back seat again. Same spot as last time. I think. Then the man wearing the tuxedo got into the front and drove off.
We passed by a lot of small places that were really close to eachother. They were all odd places. Some had benches and bushes, others looked worn down, some had people eating inside, and one with a lot of books. There was this one that was twice the size of these places. The driver parked in the parking lot of the bigger place.
The tuxedo man opened the door and let Carol out. I didn't realize how pretty Carol was today until now. She had a beautiful long red tight dress, with tall black heels. She also wore a few braclets and a necklace. And had a big sun hat with really large sunglasses. And had pure white gloves on. Wow.
Carol took me out of the car and carried my cage inside the building. Inside the building were people sitting with all sorts of animals. There were a few potted plants, and it smelt like pine. Hm. Pine smells good.
Carol walked up to the front desk and asked a few questions to the front lady. Then Carol sat down in one of the chairs next to a dog and his owners. She placed the cage on her lap with me still inside. Oh no. I hate dogs...
This was a larger dog. I think it was a German Shepard or something. He sniffed the air and then locked his eyes on me. He didn't look so friendly... I backed up til my back hit the cage. Ow. He tilted his head then the next thing I knew, he started to bark.
Crazy thing. My fur pricked up and I started to hiss at him. The dogs owner yelled at the dog to be quiet, then the German Shepard whined and layed down. That's what I thought.
"I'm sorry," A gentle voice said. I looked away from the dog to see that it was the dog's owner who spoke. "My dog here isn't the nicest." He giggled in embarrassment. Carol giggled and replied with "It's ok, I'm pretty sure my cat doesn't like dogs." They both snickered.
"Well," he begun. "I'm Dave." He holds out his hand. "Who are you?" "Carol." Carol smiled and shook his hand. "The Carol?!" He gasped. "Carol André?!" Carol giggled. "Yes, the one and only." He stuttered a lot. "I- I'm sorry Miss André!" "It's ok," she giggles.
The two started to chat some more, which bored me easily. I laid down and sighed. Then all of a sudden, the front desk lady called Dave up. "Good luck!" Called Carol. "You too!" He replied as he walked into a room with his dog, who was limping.
A few minutes have passed until Carol was called. We walked down the hallway towards the room that Dave was in. The door opened and Dave walked out with his dog. His dog now had some bandages around his leg. Huh. Once he was out, we walked into the tiny room.
