After the whole "kitten" incident, Tucker hasn't been happy the past few days. It's been a month now, in Carol's house. The kittens have been growing up fast. The kittens now think I'm the mom. Prob because I'm the only female cat in the house. Oh well.
Carol still feeds them, I don't. But my favorite is Pepper. Cute little rascal. Tucker has decided to help me with him today.
Pepper and I chased each other around the house playfully like it was a game, while Oliver watched the other kittens play. After a few minutes of chase, Tucker joined in. It was more fun now.
Pepper caught me for the third time and I made a dramatic scene when he got me. "Oh Nooo. You got me!" I'd say and fall on the floor. Tucker giggled and Pepper pounced on me.
It was around his bedtime. I looked at Tucker and nodded my head. He immediately knew what I meant. He picked up Pepper and and started to walk over to the room where I met Liliana.
Now that it's been a while, Carol turned that room into the kitten's room. Right under the window is where the giant bed is.
As Tucker and I walked into the room, I told Pepper "bedtime, Pepper." And like always, he'd reply with "Aw, c'mon mom!"
I know I wasn't his mother, but I still treated him like he was my son. Tucker acted like the dad.
I turned around and Oliver and I made eye contact. He saw that Tucker was putting Pepper to bed, so he knew why I was looking at him. He herded the cats over to their room.
Tucker placed Pepper in the bed gently. "Goodnight Pepper." I said. "Goodnight mama, goodnight daddy." I looked at Tucker and he just shrugged. We were used to be calling that.
Right as I turned around, a wave of kittens rushed around me. Woah, that's a lot of yellow. The kittens ran into the bed, but avoided Pepper. Cute.
Tucker, Oliver, and I walked out of the room after we said our goodnights, and closed the door on the way out. Ah, what a busy day.
Right as the three of us were at the top of the stairs, Tucker signaled Oliver to go without us. He went along by himself.
      "What's up?" I ask Tucker
"When do you think we should tell the truth to the kittens?" He replied.
      "What do you mean?"
      "Y'know. Liliana."
"Oh yeah, maybe once they are a bit older?" I suggested.
"Heh, ok. Are you alright with them calling us "mommy" and "daddy"?" I hesitated for a bit. I really didn't know what to think about it.
"I think it's cute, what do you think?"
"I don't know what to think." He looked down. He seemed to get sad all over again. "Hey," I begun. "Everything will be alright. How about once the kittens are around the age of 5, we tell them. Alright?" He nodded. Great.
After that little side conversation, we both walked down the steps together.
