The group of six made sure each gun was packed fully with bullets, ready for any demon that wanted to stand in their way.
Kira hid the knife inside her boot, ready to use when needed.
"Okay, so first thing is that we need to find Lucifer," Kira sighed, looking at the massacre that lay ahead.
Why couldn't they have been a part of the normal students? Why did they have to be the ones to hunt down the devil? Kira sighed again, looking around the streets for any sign of demons.
It was quiet now, with only the sounds of moaning people and demons on the ground. It literally felt like they walked into a war movie. Bullet casing were strewn everywhere. Blood dotted more places on the concrete than not. It was horrific.
Kira tied her hair back into a messy bun, just wanting to get it out of her face.
"Where is everyone?" Colby asked.
"No doubt a lot of people are hiding in the underground bunkers," Aaron said. "They wouldn't have sent first year students into this bloodbath.
"If only I wasn't with you guys, then I would be safe," Colby joked with a smile. "Naw, then I'd miss all this fun."
"Yeah, stay in a bunker waiting for Armageddon to end?" Jacob asked. "Not for me."
Kira rolled her eyes. "Let's just get searching."
"What if they left?" Colby asked. "I mean, they probably just wanted to kill hunters, right?"
"Which means they will want to find the bunker," Aaron countered. "This obviously isn't all of the students."
They made their way silently down the streets, guns pointed at all times.
"I feel like I'm in a zombie movie," Colby whispered.
"I will hit you," Jacob whispered back.
"Like that would be anything new," Colby said rolling his eyes just as the air got knocked from his lungs and he toppled onto his back. "Hey, that was too hard!" Colby yelled, looking up to see red eyes right in front of his. "Oh, that's not what I thought happened," Colby said, jabbing his palm into the demon's face, making his neck jerk backwards.
Colby sat up and quickly fired a round before the demon could pounce again. Colby panted and looked up at the group. "What? No help?"
"You could handle it," Lucas shrugged.
"Glad to know you trust me so much," Colby sighed. Jacob laughed and offered him a hand. Colby took it and stood up, brushing off his pants.
"Guys, so, firing weapons attracts demons," Kira said as five more red-eyed demons strolled towards them. Three women, two men. All looking ready to tear some throats out.
"Go!" Colby smiled, firing his gun a few times towards the oncoming group. He hit one of the girls, but the other four dodged easily.
"Hey, boy, why don't you tell us where all the others are hiding," one of the girls said, suddenly right behind Colby.
"As much as I would love to, I have no clue," Colby smiled, swinging the butt of his gun at her face. She skipped backwards laughing.
"Humans are so funny. Thinking they can beat us," a man laughed.
"We obviously can," Jacob said with a shrug. "I mean there are just as many of you lying on the ground as there are of us."
The man sneered and lunged at Jacob, tackling him to the ground. "I'll show you what strength a demon has over you!" he snarled, wrapping his hands tightly around Jacob's throat.
