The Night Everything Changed(Josh Hutcherson Fan Fiction)

Crying, crying, and more crying that's what I hear every other hour.  Aren't babies supposed to sleep more than an hour at a time? Mine sure don't. The  first night was great, they only got up twice. Now one wakes up and starts crying and so does the other.  I'm usually the first one to get to their room but a few minutes after I walk in Josh comes and helps. I know it must be even more tiring on him though because he has work early every morning.  I usually tell him to go back to bed but he always comes and helps anyway. I love him for that.

I hear one of them crying again. I sigh and look over at the clock, it's 7 am so I might as well stay up.  I get out of bed and walk into their room.  The crying is coming from Aidan's crib so I walk to it, and of course he's laying wide awake crying. 

I pick him up and say,"Shhh. . . it's okay I'm here."

He stops crying so I walk over to check on Noah. Noah is laying there wide awake too.

I smile at him and say,"Good morning my little cutie."

I lean down to pick him up when Josh walks in.

He says,"Hey it's fine. I'll get him."

I smile and say,"Thank you. I think Aidan needs his diaper changed anyway."

He just smiles and nods.  I lay Aidan down on the changing table and change him really fast so he won't start crying. 

I pick him back up and say,"There you go." 

Josh says,"Are you going anywhere today?"

I say,"No, I don't think so why?"

He says,"I don't like how you get stuck in house all day alone." 

I say,"Im not alone. The boys are here." 

He says,"It's different though. You can't have a conversation with them." 

I say,"Do you want me to go out?" 

He says,"You should." 

I say,"They're only a month old, I can't just get someone to watch them while I do whatever." 

He says,"My mom wants to see them anyway. She'll be happy to."

I sigh and say,"What would I even do?" 

He says,"Go to the mall with Alice." 

I say,"Are you sure?" 

He says,"Im positive." 

I say,"Well I guess I could go just this one time." 

He smiles and says,"Good. I have to get ready for work now."

I say,"Have fun."

He says,"I never have fun when I'm not with you and the boys." 

I smile and say,"Awhhh. Come here."

He walks over to me and hugs me lightly because he has Noah and I have Aidan. He kisses Noah on the forehead then lays him down in the crib.  He comes over and kisses Aidan on the head then me on the lips. 

He says,"Have fun today. You deserve it." 

I smile and say,"Thanks."

He walks out of the room and I lay Aidan down in his crib. Somehow they both fell back asleep.  I walk downstairs to the kitchen and grab a water then walk into the living room. I pull out my phone and text Alice;

Me; Hey do you want to go see a movie later?

Alice; Yes! How does 12 sound?

Me; Sounds good. See you later
