Surprise

I don't remember falling asleep last night but I guess I did. I woke up in Alice's room on her couch. I, of course, woke up because I had to go puke my guts out.  I woke Alice up in the process but she said she didn't mind.

My mom also called me an hour ago to tell me that I had a doctors appointment at 3 and happy birthday. Yes today is my birthday, I'm finally 18. I totally forgot it was my birthday though until she told me. I've been thinking so much I forgot my own birthday.

I was planning to spend the day with Josh but I haven't heard from him since last night. Which worries me a lot. It also pisses me off though because I texted him telling him about my doctors appointment and he didn't reply. But that's not what pisses me off the most, the appointment is in an hour. 

My thoughts are cut off by Alice saying,"Hey are you okay?"

I say,"Yeah I'm fine."

She says,"Are you sure? You look mad."

I sigh and say,"Im a little mad because Josh won't reply to me and the appointment is in an hour."

She frowns and says,"Maybe he's just busy at work."

I say,"I hope so."

She says,"You don't need to be stressing out."

I say,"I know but it's hard."

She says,"It's your birthday and you get to hear your baby's heart beat today. Be happy."

I smile and say,"I'll try."

She smiles back and says,"Well let's go to your house and get ready then." I nod and start walking out the door.

I pull into my driveway and turn off my car.

Alice says,"Is your mom home?"

I say,"She's out of town remember?"

She says,"Oh yeah."

I laugh and get out of the car. She's follows me to the door, I unlock it, and walk inside. Alice comes in and shuts the door behind her.

I say,"Do you think I have time to take a shower?"

She checks the time and says,"Yeah if you hurry." I nod and walk up stairs to take a shower.

*Josh's Point of View*

God how long can this meeting last? To make it even worse I forgot my phone in my car. I didn't have time to tell Alex happy birthday or anything this morning. I feel like shit. She's going to be so mad at me. I sigh and Jen looks at me weird. I just shake my head and looked away.  I really want to tell Jen about the baby but I don't want her to freak out on me either. I know she'll worry to death. She is my bestfriend after all. I really hope things go right for me,Alex, and the baby. I want it to be a boy but knowing Alex she'll want a girl. I'm still in shock that all this is happening. Alex probably hates me for getting her pregnant at such young age. My mind is just a big jumbled up mess right now.

*Alex's Point of view*

I sigh as a check my phone. Still no text from Josh. Oh well I guess Alice will come with me. I walk into my closet and grab some yoga pants and a white Never Shout Never shirt. I hurry and  put it on then put my hair is a bun. I walk back into bathroom to put on some make up.

I grab my eyeliner as Alice comes in and says,"We need to leave now if you're going to make it on time."

I put down the eyeliner and say,"Okay. Lets go." I guess I'm going all natural today.

As we walk into the doctors office a lot of older women stare at me. I try to ignore their annoyed looks and walk to the front desk.
