Little Moments

I've been at Alice's house for about 3 hours now.  All we've been doing is eating and playing Mario Cart.  This is normal now, every day  me and Conner go to Alice's house and wait on Josh.  Josh should have been here 2 hours ago but his meeting ran later than he thought.  I don't mind though.  I know these are the moments I'm going to miss once the twins are here.

"So are excited about finding out the genders tomorrow?" 

I look up and see that Alice is staring me down. 

I say,"Yes. I hope they're both girls." 

She says,"Me too.  They're going to be so cuteeee." 

I smile and start to reply but someone knocks on the door. 

Alice says,"I'll get it." 

I nod then look over to Connor.  He's so into the game that he doesn't even know what's going on.  I hear foot steps and look over to the entrance to the living room.  Josh and Alice are walking in.  I smile at them both.  Josh comes down and sits beside me and Alice goes and sits beside Connor. 

I look at Josh and say,"How was your meeting?" 

He says,"The usual. Boring." 

I say,"my day was boring too. I missed you." 

He says,"I missed you too but I'm here now." 

I smile and say,"I know." 

He says,"Do you want to stay at my house or your house tonight?" 

I say,"Mine. I miss my bed." 

He laughs and says,"Okay." 

His phone starts ringing and he says,"I have to take this. I'll be back," then walks out of the room

The babies start kicking, and I say,"Alice come feel this!"  She runs over and puts her hand on my stomach.

She says,"Oh my god! That's so cool." 

I smile and say,"Hey my sweet babies.  How are you today?"  They kick even harder. 

Alice says,"Woah. They must be excited." 

I laugh and say,"They always kick during the middle of the night.  It's keeps me up." 

She says,"Awhhh." 

I say,"You wouldn't be saying awhhh if it kept you up half the night." 

She says,"They're going to be wild." 

I say,"I know.  My mom said I was wild baby." 

She says,"You're in for it." 

I say,"Yeah but I can't wait to see what they look like." 

She says,"When will you get the 3D ultrasound?" 

I say,"7 months." 

Josh walks back in and says,"Connor, mom said be home by 10."  Connor just nods. 

Alice says,"You missed the babies kicking." 

Josh says,"I'll feel them later. Haha" 

Alice says,"Do you want me to be at the appointment tomorrow?" 

I say,"Of course." 

Josh says,"We should get going now." 

I say,"I'll see you tomorrow." 

She says,"Okay. Bye".

I get up, with the help of Alice and Josh. Josh takes my hand and we walk outside and get in the car.

"I'm going to take a shower just do whatever." 

Josh nods then walks into the kitchen.  I shake my head then make my way up the stairs.  I walk into the bathroom and turn on the shower.  I take off my clothes then step in.  I decide just to take a quick one because I honestly just don't feel like standing long.  I hurry up and wash my hair and body then get out.  I wrap my towel around me then walk into my room.  I go into the closet and grab a pair of sweat shorts and a baggy band t shirt.   I walk out and lay my clothes on my bed and go to my dresser and get a a pair a panties and a bra.  I hurry and put my clothes on then lay on my bed. 

I unlock my phone and start scrolling through Facebook when Josh walks in. 

He lays beside me and says,"Are you excited about tomorrow?" 

I put my phone now and say,"Yes. Are you?" 

He says,"Yes. Have you thought about any names?" 

I say,"I like Aidan for a boy. And Gracie for a girl." 

He says,"We have two babies though." 

I say,"I know that but that's just two names I really like. What names do you like?" 

He says," For a girl I like Addison and Mia. For a boy I like Aidan too and I like Mason." 

I say," Addison and Mia are both pretty names." 

He says,"What are middle names?" 

I say,"After we pick out first names we can think of middle names." 

He says,"That's a good idea." 

The babies start kicking again and say,"They're kicking." 

He puts his hand on my stomach and says,"Hey my babies. Daddy loves you so much. I can't wait to find out what you are." 

I smile and say," They are going to be so lucky to have a dad like you." 

He says," and a mom like you." 

I smile and kiss him.  He kisses me back then says,"When is your mom coming home?" 

I say,"Next week."  He just nods. 

I cuddle up to him and say,"Turn off the lights. Please." 

He says,"Lazy." 

I say,"Rudeee." 

He laughs and says,"Im just playing."  He get up and turns off the lights. I cover up and he comes and lays beside me. I cuddle up to him and close my eyes.
