You silently walked through your small town toward the general store. You had to run some errands; something you absolutely hated because of your town.
It wasn't necessarily the safest place on earth, but you managed. You were somewhat street smart and knew when trouble was about to happen. The main problem was getting past him.
Lately you've been seeing him around a lot, and you often cross his path whenever you travel out of your house to do something. You thought he was following you, but then you just diagnosed yourself as being paranoid. But then again, it seemed highly likely that someone would stalk you in the kind of town you lived in.
As you walked on the sidewalk, you passed a chain link fence. And who do you think was leaning on that chain link fence smoking a cigarette?
Allen "Al" Jones.
You tried to ignore him, but you couldn't just walk past someone with piercing red eyes. Nevertheless, you pretended like he wasn't there. That is, until he spoke.
"Hey, doll face. What's happening?" Al said to you as you walked past. You just ignored him and stood up a little straighter, continuing on your way.
"Hey, I think that I was just talking to ya." You just cotinued walking until suddenly you felt your arm being yanked and you were pushed up against a nearby building wall. You gritted your teeth as your back smashed against the brick, but you didn't give him the satisfaction that he had gotten you.
You looked up to see those blazing red eyes staring back into your own (e/c) ones. You tried to keep yourself feeling confident that you could stand up to Al, but you felt your hands starting to shake. In a few seconds, you would be on the ground pleading for mercy.
"I've been watching you," Al spoke again. His breath fanned hot against your skin, but you didn't flinch. You couldn't.
"I've noticed," you growled back. You needed to get out of there, and quick. Your hands were trembling very hard now.
Al chuckled darkly. "Never been stood up to like this before. This is new, and, quite frankly, I think I like it." Al shifted so that one arm propped himself up against the wall behind you, but you were still pinned back. Not once did he take his eyes off of yours.
"Yeah, well, get used to it because if you don't leave me alone it'll happen a lot more. And I won't be so nice," you tried to say threateningly, but to no avail. Your voice almost gave out and it trembled like there was no tomorrow. That caused Al to throw his head back and laugh.
You were then jerked forward with Al's arms wrapped around your waist. You were centimeters away from him, and you could see small freckles dotting his scowling face.
"You're not from around here, kid, that's obvious enough. And, lucky for you, I've taken a liking to your attitude. Enjoy your stay here, (Y/n). I know I will." And with that he was suddenly walking away from you, taking a drag from his cigarette, and disappearing behind some more fence.
You stood there, dumbfounded as he walked away. You had no idea what to say.
He had been so close, and, weirdly enough, you kind of liked it.
