Camp was almost over and my attempts clearly weren't working. I knew what I had to do. "Percy," I said, turning toward my older brother "Round up the camp, I have something I want to say," Percy was stunned, but nodded

Later on

I walked onto the amphitheater stage and stared out at the sea of (mostly) orange shirts. I already had tears in my eyes when I started to speak. "First off, I wanted to thank everyone for their support and understanding during this tough time and I wanted to apologize for not being the leader I needed to be. We have all lost someone close to us at one point in our life, someone who has touched our life, but we here, every last one of us, are survivors, we are warriors. Over this summer, we have defeated a great evil, and while, despite our wishes, we know there will be another evil, we our strong and we must fight on. We must live for ourselves and for those who died to save us, and know, we must celebrate, because we are demigods, and as of know, we have won!" I stood their as they applauded, before turning to Percy,"Perc," I said turning to him and nodding toward the podium, "you were always better at this than I was," Percy nodded and walked over to the podium, "I don't have much to say," he began "I mean my sister has already said it all, but I would just like to remind everyone that we have one more shroud to burn," realization hit me. Of course! How could I be so dumb! But they couldn't burn they shroud yet, they just couldn't! And the next thing I knew I was running. And I want planning on stopping anytime soon.

I turned but Emma want there. I quickly exchanged a worried glance with Annabeth when I realized we hadn't told Emma about burning the shroud yet. It seems that Annabeth and I hadn't came to the realization at the same time, when she turned to me. "where could she be?" she asked. I ran my hand through my hair. "I don't know," I said. Ohhh what has my little sister gotten herself into.

1 hour later

We have been looking for Emma for an hour when it hit me. The lake! How could I not realize it sooner! It was the one place where she could go without anyone finding her, that's why her and Jase would always....Oh My Gods! Her and JASE!!! I had to get to that lake! Knowing her she would sit there forever and just remembering! I ran to the lake and jumped in. Sure enough, I found Emma sitting at the bottom, tears running down her face. I touched her shoulder. As she turned toward me, I saw it in her eyes. She wasn't seeing me, she was seeing him. A smile erupted on her face, but then I guess she must of realized who it was. Her smile dropped, and her eyes lost the happy glint, once again returning to the cold black that I had quickly learned to recognize as hers. I went to grab her hand to pull her out of the water, but she resisted. I slipped my arms under hers and used all my strength to pull her out of the water, working hard, as we both urged the water to do different things. Me trying to save my sister from herself, and my sister refusing to live in reality and fighting for a lost love that wasn't coming back.
