princesses, sugar plum fairies dancing, a prince, a dragon, a witch, spells, talking animals, getting lost and then found, finding out where you belong or who you are... damsel(s) in distress, girls longing to find their prince, wanting so much more from their lives, being told when they will be brides, a kiss, a dance, a chance, a time limit; the clock ticking, the petals falling from a rose, two girls waiting for "true loves kiss," one longing to be apart of his (your) world, another seeing a whole new world, one chance to get things right, one going out to fight, a girl stumbles upon a sailor, a girl gets kidnapped and one gets turned into a swan.
sure they have good morals, and try to teach young minds values, but honestly I think it gives girls false hope and making them believe 'love will conquer all.' when in reality sometimes things just don't work and you gotta deal with it. i mean ya i love Disney movies and stuff don't get me wrong its just... having a world of girls so naive is just sad. these ideas and beliefs can be good, but at the same time....its just going to plague the minds of future generations and having the cycle of naive young women continue. which is something that needs to end.
but who knows maybe things will be different??
