A bell with a crack down the side
A woman standing with a book holding a torch on fire with pride
Seeing me and women fighting their country selflessly
Seeing people protesting for equal rights;
Children playing in the park,
People walking in the dark,
Some sitting in a café, talking about many things:
Stating opinions and facts, possibly getting
In arguments or bantering about beliefs and ideals
Hearing the hum of a proud patriotic song
Coming from a soldier, a vet, or a radio
People walking down the street without a care
People thinking they can float on air
Children learning about the world, values, and morals
Realizing they will have to let go of their parents helping hand...
Starting the process of figuring out one's self
Trying to find meanings in the environment around them
Asking the age old question, "why?"
Seeing a cloth with stars and stripes
Looking at it with pride...
